Abstract

A method and apparatus for supporting synchronous Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) transmission of Uplink are disclosed. When uplink/downlink configurations of multiple CA cellsrrier Aggregation (CA) are different, by configuring the HARQ transmission timing relations of primary cell and secondary cell, it is guaranteed that, with cross-carrier scheduling, the timing relation between a transmission of PUSCH in the Pcell and subsequent retransmission of PUSCH in the Scell is the same as that in Long Term Evolution (LTE) and LTE Advanced (LTE-A).

Claims

1. A method for supporting synchronous Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) transmission of Uplink data, the method comprising:

configuring a User Equipment (UE) to operate at Carrier Aggregation (CA) mode in which multiple CA cells adopt different uplink/downlink configurations;

transmitting, by a Base Station (BS), a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and/or Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) in a primary CA cell according to timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), and receiving, by the BS, the PUSCH sent by the UE in a secondary CA cell;

transmitting the PHICH in the primary cell according to timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH after receiving the PUSCH, and receiving the PUSCH that is retransmitted by the UE in the secondary cell according to timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH.

The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing relation from the PUSCH to the PHICH is calculated by subtracting a duration from a timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH to a timing position of the PHICH in the timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH from a timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH satisfies a minimum duration of processing time of the BS.

The method according to claim 1, wherein, in view of each uplink subframe of the secondary cell, if an uplink subframe is at the same timing position as that of the primary cell, the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to this uplink subframe reuse the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to the uplink subframe at the same timing position in the primary cell;

if a downlink subframe is at the same timing position as that of the primary cell, the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to this uplink subframe satisfy the minimum duration of processing time of the UE.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are all timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to all uplink subframes of the secondary cell satisfying the minimum duration of UE'"'"'s processing time.

The method according to claim 4, wherein the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling the PUSCH are evenly distributed among downlink subframes of the primary cell, and/or timing positions of the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling an earlier PUSCH are not later than timing positions of the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling a later PUSCH, and/or the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling PUSCH of a same uplink subframe are located at the same timing position.

7. The method according to claim 6, wherein when the PDCCH and the PHICH in more than two downlink subframes of the primary cell can schedule the PUSCH of the same uplink subframe in the secondary cell, and the PHICH and a PDCCH are located at the same timing position.

8. The method according to claim 4, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are calculated based on a predefined configuration combination when the primary cell and secondary cell adopt different uplink/downlink configurations, respectively.

9. The method according to claim 4, wherein, the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are configured based on timing positions of uplink subframes of the primary cell when the primary cell adopts each type of uplink/downlink configuration.

The method according to claim 4, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH and the timing relations form the PUSCH to the PHICH are configured based on each combination of different uplink/downlink configurations adopted by the primary cell and the secondary cell adopt different uplink/downlink configurations and according to a subframe timing offset of the primary cell and the secondary cell.

The method according to claim 4, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are configured according to a subframe timing offset of the primary cell and the secondary cell and based on timing positions of uplink subframes of the primary cell, when the primary cell adopts each type of uplink/downlink configurations.

12. The method according to claim 1, wherein a timing relation between timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH and timing position of the PUSCH previously sent by the UE is the same as that in LTE and LTE-A.

13. A method for performing synchronous Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) transmission of Uplink data, the method comprising:

configuring a User Equipment (UE) to operate in Carrier Aggregation (CA) mode in which multiple CA cells adopt different uplink/downlink configurations;

receiving, by the UE, a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and/or Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) sent from a BS (BS) in a primary CA cell according to timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), and transmitting, by the UE, the PUSCH in a secondary CA cell; and

receiving the PHICH in the primary cell according to timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH after transmitting the PUSCH, and retransmitting the PUSCH in the secondary cell according to timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH.

The method according to claim 13, wherein the timing relation from the PUSCH to the PHICH is calculated by subtracting the duration from a timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH to a timing position of the PHICH in the timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH from a timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH

15. The method according to claim 13, wherein, the timing relation from the PUSCH to the PHICH satisfies the minimum duration of processing time of the BS.

The method according to claim 13, wherein, in view of each uplink subframe of the secondary cell, if an uplink subframe is at the same timing position as that of the primary cell, the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to this uplink subframe reuse the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to the uplink subframe at the same timing position in the primary cell;

and

if a downlink subframe is at the same timing position as that of the primary cell, the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to this uplink subframe satisfy the minimum duration of UE processing time.

17. The method according to claim 13, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are all timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH corresponding to all uplink subframes of the secondary cell satisfying the minimum duration of UE processing time.

The method according to claim 16, wherein the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling the PUSCH are evenly distributed among downlink subframes of the primary cell, and/or timing positions of the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling an earlier PUSCH are not later than timing positions of the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling a later PUSCH, and/or the PDCCH and PHICH scheduling the PUSCH of the same uplink subframe are located at the same timing position.

19. The method according to claim 18, wherein, when the PDCCH and the PHICH in more than two downlink subframes of the primary cell can schedule the PUSCH of the same uplink subframe in the secondary cell, and the PHICH and a PDCCH are located at the same timing position.

20. The method according to claim 16, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are calculated based on a predefined configuration combination when the primary cell and secondary cell adopt different uplink/downlink configurations, respectively.

21. The method according to claim 16, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are configured based on timing positions of uplink subframes of the primary cell when the primary cell adopts each type of uplink/downlink configuration.

The method according to claim 16, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH and the timing relations form PUSCH to PHICH are configured based on each combination of different uplink/downlink configurations adopted by the primary cell and the secondary cell adopt different uplink/downlink configurations and according to a subframe timing offset of the primary cell and the secondary cell.

The method according to claim 16, wherein the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH are configured according to a subframe timing offset of the primary cell and the secondary cell and based on timing positions of uplink subframes of the primary cell, when the primary cell adopts each type of uplink/downlink configurations.

24. The method according to claim 13, wherein a timing relation between timing position of the retransmitted PUSCH and timing position of the PUSCH previously sent by the UE is the same as that in LTE and LTE-A.

25. An apparatus in a Base Station (BS) for supporting synchronous Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) transmission of Uplink data, the apparatus comprises:

a controller being adapted for configuring an User Equipment (UE) to operate in Carrier Aggregation (CA) mode in which multiple CA cells adopt different uplink/downlink configurations, and determining timing relations from Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) to Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH, and timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH;

a transmitting unit being adapted for transmitting a PDCCH and/or PHICH in a primary CA cell according to the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH and transmitting the PHICH in the primary cell according to the timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH; and

a reception process unit being adapted for receiving the PUSCH sent by the UE in a secondary CA cell according to the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH and receiving the PUSCH that is retransmitted by the UE in the secondary cell according to the timing relation from the PHICH to PUSCH.

26. An apparatus in a User Equipment (UE) for performing synchronous Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) transmission of Uplink data, the apparatus comprises:

a controller being adapted for configuring an User Equipment (UE) to operate in Carrier Aggregation (CA) mode in which multiple CA cells adopt different uplink/downlink configurations and determining timing relations from Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) to Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH, and timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH;

a receiving unit being adapted for receiving the PDCCH and/or the PHICH sent from a BS (BS) in a primary CA cell according to the timing relations from The PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH, and receiving the PHICH in the primary cell according to the timing relations from the PUSCH to the PHICH,

a transmission process unit being adapted for transmitting the PUSCH in a secondary CA cell according to the timing relations from the PDCCH and the PHICH to the PUSCH, and retransmitting the PUSCH in the secondary cell according to the timing relation from the PHICH to the PUSCH.
