Abstract

The various embodiments include methods, computers and communication systems that enable synchronizing information in a telecommunications system, which may include receiving a first message including communication information to be synchronized from a first domain, receiving a second message including information associated with a communication on a component in a second telecommunication domain, synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message, and sending the synchronized information to a public interface of the first domain. Synchronizing the information included in the first message with information included in the second message may include synchronizing one or more of metering, rating, charging, balance, policy, and contextual information.

Claims

1. A method of synchronizing information in a telecommunications system, comprising:

receiving in a server processor a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain, the first message including communication information to be synchronized;

receiving a second message from a second public interface of a second telecommunications domain, the second message including information associated with a communication on a component in the second telecommunication domain;

synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message; and

sending the synchronized information to the first public interface.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving synchronized information in the first public interface; and

determining if there is a discrepancy in the received synchronized information.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving an acknowledgement receipt in the server processor identifying an existence of a discrepancy;

performing updated synchronization operations on information included in the first message; and

sending a result of the updated synchronization operations to the first public interface.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving in a server processor a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving the information in a continuum orchestrator.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving in a server processor a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving a message from a public interface of a user equipment domain.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing one or more of metering, rating, charging, balance, policy, and contextual information.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing complementary information generated in parallel.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message is performed in response to an event.

9. A computing device, comprising:

a memory; and

a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions to perform operations comprising;

receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain, the first message including communication information to be synchronized;

receiving a second message from a second public interface of a second telecommunications domain, the second message including information associated with a communication on a component in the second telecommunication domain;

synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message; and

sending the synchronized information to the first public interface.

10. The computing device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving the information in a continuum orchestrator.

The computing device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving a message from a first public interface of a user equipment domain.

12. The computing device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing one or more of metering, rating, charging, balance, policy, and contextual information.

13. The computing device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing complementary information generated in parallel.

14. The computing device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message is performed in response to an event.

15. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon processor-executable software instructions configured to cause a processor to perform operations for synchronizing information in a telecommunications system, the operations comprising:

receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain, the first message including communication information to be synchronized;

receiving a second message from a second public interface of a second telecommunications domain, the second message including information associated with a communication on a component in the second telecommunication domain;

synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message; and

sending the synchronized information to the first public interface.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the stored processor-executable software instructions are configured to cause a processor to perform operations such that receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving the information in a continuum orchestrator.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the stored processor-executable software instructions are configured to cause a processor to perform operations such that receiving a first message from a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving a message from a first public interface of a user equipment domain.

18. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the stored processor-executable software instructions are configured to cause a processor to perform operations such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing one or more of metering, rating, charging, balance, policy, and contextual information.

19. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the stored processor-executable software instructions are configured to cause a processor to perform operations such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing complementary information generated in parallel.

20. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the stored processor-executable software instructions are configured to cause a processor to perform operations such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message is performed in response to an event.

21. A communication system, comprising:

a first computing device comprising a first device memory and a first device processor coupled to the first device memory;

a second computing device comprising a second device memory and a second device processor coupled to the second device memory; and

a communications server comprising a server memory and a server processor coupled to the server memory,

wherein the first device processor is configured with processor-executable instructions to perform operations comprising;

publishing a first message including communication information to be synchronized to a first public interface of a first telecommunications domain;

wherein the second device processor is configured with processor-executable instructions to perform operations comprising;

publishing a second message including information associated with a communication a second public interface of a second telecommunications domain, and

wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions to perform operations comprising;

receiving the first message from the first public interface of the first telecommunications domain;

receiving the second message from the second public interface of a second telecommunications domain;

synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message; and

sending the synchronized information to the first public interface of the first telecommunications domain.

22. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the first device processor is configured with processor-executable instructions to perform operations further comprising:

receiving synchronized information in the first public interface; and

determining if there is a discrepancy in the received synchronized information.

23. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions to perform operations further comprising:

receiving an acknowledgement receipt identifying an existence of a discrepancy;

performing updated synchronization operations on information included in the first message; and

sending a result of the updated synchronization operations to the first public interface of the first telecommunications domain.

24. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions such that receiving the first message from the first public interface of a first telecommunications domain comprises receiving a message from a public interface of a user equipment domain.

25. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing one or more of metering, rating, charging, balance, policy, and contextual information.

26. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message comprises synchronizing complementary information generated in parallel.

27. The communication system of claim 21, wherein the server processor is configured with server-executable instructions such that synchronizing information included in the first message with information included in the second message is performed in response to an event.
