Abstract

An electronic cigarette includes a shell and a mouthpiece. The external wall of the shell has an air inlet. An atomizer and a liquid-supply are in contact with each other. The air inlet, atomizer, an aerosol passage, and a mouthpiece are sequentially interconnected.

Claims

1. An electronic cigarette, comprising:

a housing having a longitudinal axis, an inlet and an outlet;

a liquid supply source in the housing;

an air flow channel through the housing connecting the inlet to the outlet; and

an atomizer assembly in the housing between the inlet and the outlet, including;

a porous section projecting into the liquid supply source; and

a heating wire in the atomizer oriented substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

2. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 further including a battery, a sensor and an electronic circuit board within the housing, with the circuit board electrically connected to the battery, the sensor and the heating wire.

3. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 further including an atomization cavity within the atomizer.

4. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 with the outlet within a mouthpiece that is screwed onto the housing.

5. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 with the liquid storage comprising a fiber material.

6. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 with part of the air flow channel alongside the liquid supply source.

7. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 with the porous section of atomizer projecting into the liquid storage comprising a porous bulge section.

8. An electronic cigarette, comprising:

a housing having an inlet and an outlet;

a liquid storage body in the housing holding a liquid;

an air flow path through the housing; and

an atomizer in the housing between the inlet and the outlet including;

a porous body extending into the liquid storage body; and

a heating wire in the atomizer surrounded by the porous body.

9. The electronic cigarette of claim 8 with the air flow channel connecting the inlet to the outlet, and with part of the air flow channel alongside of the fiber material.

10. The electronic cigarette of claim 8 wherein the housing comprises a cylindrical tube having a central axis and the heating wire extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the central axis.

11. The electronic cigarette of claim 8 further including a battery, a sensor and an electronic circuit board within the housing, with the circuit board electrically connected to the battery, the sensor and the heating wire.

12. The electronic cigarette of claim 8 with the liquid storage body comprising fibers.

13. An electronic cigarette, comprising:

a housing having an inlet and an outlet;

a liquid supply source in the housing;

an air flow channel through the housing connecting the inlet to the outlet, with the air flow channel extending alongside of the liquid supply source; and

an atomizer in the housing between the inlet and the outlet, the atomizer including;

a porous section extending into the liquid supply source; and

a heating wire in the atomizer oriented substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the housing; and

a battery, a sensor and an electronic circuit board within the housing, with the circuit board electrically connected to the battery, the sensor and the heating wire.

14. An electronic cigarette, comprising:

a housing having an inlet and an outlet;

a flow path in the housing connecting from the inlet to the outlet;

a liquid storage body in the housing holding a liquid;

an atomizer in the housing between the inlet and the liquid storage body, with the atomizer including a heating wire and an element extending into the liquid storage body; and

with inhalation on the outlet causing air to flow through the flow path and with the liquid storage body downstream in the flow path from the atomizer, and with liquid in the liquid storage body moving in an upstream direction to the atomizer via capillary action.

15. The electronic cigarette of claim 14 wherein the element comprises a porous body.

16. The electronic cigarette of claim 15 heating wire is surrounded by the porous body.
