Abstract

A stator is compatible with a variety of wiring configurations and possesses excellent versatility, while also preventing an increase in the size of a busbar unit. The stator includes a plurality of stator segments joined together to assume a cylindrical shape. Each stator segment includes a core segment including a core back portion and a tooth portion; a coil including a pair of coil wire terminals; an insulating layer arranged between the coil and the tooth portion; and a resin layer arranged to have the entire coil except for the coil wire terminals embedded therein. The resin layers of the stator segments include a supporting structure defined therein to allow a wiring member to be connected with any of the coil wire terminals to be attached to and removed from the stator.

Claims

1. A stator comprising a plurality of stator segments joined together to define a cylindrical shape, each of the plurality of stator segments including:

a core segment including a core back portion having a cross section in a shape of a circular arc, and a tooth portion arranged to extend from the core back portion in a radial direction of the stator, the core back portion being joined to the core back portions of adjacent ones of the plurality of stator segments;

a coil wound around the tooth portion and including a pair of coil wire terminals;

an insulating layer arranged between the coil and the tooth portion; and

a resin layer arranged to have the entire coil except for the coil wire terminals embedded therein;

wherein

the resin layers of the plurality of stator segments include a supporting structure defined therein to allow a wiring member to be connected with any of the coil wire terminals to be attached to and removed from the stator.

2. The stator according to claim 1, wherein

the resin layer of each of the stator segments includes a supporting structure segment defined therein;

the supporting structure segments defined in the resin layers of the stator segments are joined together to define the supporting structure as a result of the stator segments being joined together;

the supporting structure segment is defined in an axial end of each of the stator segments; and

the pair of coil wire terminals of each of the stator segments are arranged to project through an end surface of the resin layer of the stator segment, the end surface facing in a same direction as the axial end of the stator segment.

3. The stator according to claim 2, wherein the supporting structure segments are joined together by a wiring groove defined in the resin layers of the stator segments to accommodate the wiring member.

4. The stator according to claim 3, wherein the wiring groove is provided with a coming-off preventing portion arranged to prevent the wiring member from coming off.

5. The stator according to claim 3, wherein

the wiring groove is arranged in an annular shape to extend in a circumferential direction of the stator;

and

the coil wire terminals of the stator segments are arranged in the circumferential direction of the stator along the wiring groove.

6. The stator according to claim 5, wherein each of the coil wire terminals is arranged to extend in an axial direction of the stator.

7. A motor comprising:

the stator according to claim 6;

a shaft rotatably supported at a center of the stator;

a cylindrical rotor arranged radially inward of the stator and fixed to the shaft; and

a magnet fixed to the rotor and including a plurality of magnetic poles;

wherein

the wiring member includes a partial wiring member arranged to connect predetermined ones of the coil wire terminals of the stator segments to each other;

the partial wiring member includes;

a wire body arranged in the wiring groove; and

a plurality of wire terminals each arranged to extend orthogonally or substantially orthogonally from the wire body; and

the wire terminals are arranged radially opposite to the predetermined ones of the coil wire terminals when the partial wiring member is attached to a predetermined portion of the stator.

8. The motor according to claim 7, further comprising:

a plurality of busbars each including a plurality of terminal portions and being arranged in an annular shape or a shape of a C; and

an insulating adapter arranged on the axial ends of the stator segments to support the busbars;

wherein

the motor is capable of switching between;

a first connection state in which the coils are connected in accordance with a parallel connection, with the partial wiring member removed from the stator, and the terminal portions of the busbars connected to all of the coil wire terminals; and

a second connection state in which the coils are connected in accordance with a series-parallel connection, with the partial wiring member attached to the stator, and the terminal portions of the busbars and the wire terminals of the partial wiring member connected to the coil wire terminals.

9. The motor according to claim 8, wherein

the busbars include three phase use busbars and one common busbar;

and

the coils are divided into three different phases and connected in a Y configuration, with predetermined ones of the coil wire terminals connected to predetermined ones of the terminal portions of the phase busbars and the common busbar.

10. The motor according to claim 9, wherein

the stator includes twelve slots defined between the tooth portions;

and

the first connection state is adopted when the number of magnetic poles of the magnet is eight.

11. The motor according to claim 9, wherein

the stator includes twelve slots defined between the tooth portions;

and

the second connection state is adopted when the number of magnetic poles of the magnet is fourteen.

12. The motor according to claim 8, wherein both the adapter and the resin layers include fixing portions arranged to be engaged with each other to fix the adapter to the stator.

13. The motor according to claim 8, wherein both the adapter and the resin layers include positioning portions arranged to be engaged with each other to position the adapter on the stator.

14. A stator segment as recited in claim 1, wherein

the resin layer of the stator segment includes a wiring groove arranged to accommodate the wiring member, the wiring groove defining a portion of the supporting structure.

15. The stator segment according to claim 14, wherein

the wiring member includes a terminal member connected to any of the coil wire terminals;

and

the groove includes a projecting portion arranged to prevent the terminal member from coming off.
