Abstract

A method of controlling a touch panel display device, and which includes displaying a first display screen on the display device; receiving, via a controller of the touch panel display device and a touching signal indicating a touching action at a specific point on the first display screen; magnifying, via the controller, a predetermined area surrounding the specific point on the first display screen; displaying a second display screen including the magnified predetermined area with the specific point located at a center of the magnified predetermined area; receiving, via the controller, a selection signal indicating a selection of release touch icon displayed on the display device; and displaying the first display screen in response to the received selection signal.

Claims

1. A method of controlling a touch panel display device, the method comprising:

displaying a first display screen on the display device;

receiving, via a controller of the touch panel display device, a touching signal indicating a touching action at a specific point on the first display screen;

magnifying, via the controller, a predetermined area surrounding the specific point on the first display screen;

displaying a second display screen including the magnified predetermined area with the specific point located at a center of the magnified predetermined area;

receiving, via the controller, a selection signal indicating a selection of release touch icon displayed on the display device; and

displaying the first display screen in response to the received selection signal.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

recognizing, via the controller, coordinates of the specific point on the display device;

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the release touch icon is displayed within the magnified predetermined area.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the touching action of the specific point on the first display screen is a random specific point selected by a user.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the specific point is on an icon displayed in the first display screen.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the specific point is highlighted within the magnified predetermined area.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the magnified predetermined area is display as a full screen on the display panel.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the touch action includes a double touch action.

9. A touch panel display device, comprising:

a display configured to display a first display screen; and

a controller configured to;

receive a touching signal indicating a touching action at a specific point on the first display screen,

magnify a predetermined area surrounding the specific point on the first display screen,

control the display to display a second display screen including the magnified predetermined area with the specific point located at a center of the magnified predetermined area,

receive a selection signal indicating a selection of release touch icon displayed on the display device, and

control the display to display the first display screen in response to the received selection signal.

10. The display device of claim 9, wherein the controller is further configured to recognize coordinates of the specific point on the display device.

11. The display device of claim 9, wherein the release touch icon is displayed within the magnified predetermined area.

12. The display device of claim 9, wherein the touching action of the specific point on the first display screen is a random specific point selected by a user.

13. The display device of claim 9, wherein the specific point is on an icon displayed in the first display screen.

14. The display device of claim 9, wherein the specific point is highlighted within the magnified predetermined area.

15. The display device of claim 9, wherein the magnified predetermined area is display as a full screen on the display panel.

16. The display device of claim 9, wherein the touch action includes a double touch action.

17. A method of controlling a touch panel display device, the method comprising:

displaying a first display screen on the display device;

receiving, via a controller of the touch panel display device, a double touching signal indicating a double touching action at first and second specific points on the first display screen;

magnifying, via the controller, a predetermined area based on the first and second specific points on the first display screen;

displaying a second display screen including the magnified predetermined area displayed at a center of the magnified predetermined area;

receiving, via the controller, a selection signal indicating a selection of release touch icon displayed on the display device; and

displaying the first display screen in response to the received selection signal.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

recognizing, via the controller, coordinates of the specific first and second points on the display device.

19. The method of claim 17, wherein the release touch icon is displayed within the magnified predetermined area.

20. The method of claim 17, wherein the touching action of the first and second points on the first display screen are random specific points selected by a user.

21. The method of claim 17, wherein the first and second points are highlighted within the magnified predetermined area.

22. The method of claim 17, wherein the magnified predetermined area is display as a full screen on the display panel.

23. The method of claim 17, wherein the magnifying step magnifies the predetermined area in proportion to a distance between the first and second specific points.

24. The method of claim 17, wherein the magnifying step magnifies the predetermined area to be defined by a boundary defined by the first and second specific points.

25. A touch panel display device, comprising:

a display configured to display a first display screen; and

a controller configured to;

receive a double touching signal indicating a double touching action at first and second specific points on the first display screen,

magnify a predetermined area based on the first and second specific points on the first display screen,

display a second display screen including the magnified predetermined area displayed at a center of the magnified predetermined area,

receive a selection signal indicating a selection of release touch icon displayed on the display device, and

display the first display screen in response to the received selection signal.

26. The display device of claim 25, wherein the controller is further configured to recognize coordinates of the specific first and second points on the display device.

27. The display device of claim 25, wherein the release touch icon is displayed within the magnified predetermined area.

28. The display device of claim 25, wherein the touching action of the first and second points on the first display screen are random specific points selected by a user.

29. The display device of claim 25, wherein the first and second points are highlighted within the magnified predetermined area.

30. The display device of claim 25, wherein the magnified predetermined area is display as a full screen on the display panel.

31. The display device of claim 25, wherein the magnifying step magnifies the predetermined area in proportion to a distance between the first and second specific points.

32. The display device of claim 25, wherein the magnifying step magnifies the predetermined area to be defined by a boundary defined by the first and second specific points.
