Abstract

System and method for displaying and managing content includes a database of content that a user may access, select and pay for. The content is distributed to a projection device and the user is able to control the projection with the use of a pointing device.

Claims

1. A system for managing the distribution of decorating content, comprising:

a controller receiving decorating content items;

a display device displaying the decorating content items; and

a user interface receiving decorating preferences from a user;

wherein the display device decorates a space; and

wherein the display of decorating content items is based on the decorating preferences.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the controller and projector are in proximity to the space and the controller receives decorating content items over the Internet.

3. The system of claim 1 wherein the space is a hotel.

4. The system of claim 1 further comprising a second display device displaying the decorating content items.

5. The system of claim 1 wherein the decorating content items are received by the controller according to a predetermined schedule.

6. The system of claim 1 wherein decorating content items are provided on a subscription basis.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein the user interface is a web page.

8. The system of claim 1 wherein the user interface is an application for a mobile device.

9. The system of claim 1 wherein the display device is a projector.

10. The system of claim 1 further comprising a pointer controlling the positioning of the at least one of the decorating content items.

11. The system of claim 1 further comprising

a storage having a plurality of decorating content items;

and

at least one server in electronic communication with the storage.

12. The system of claim 1 wherein the controller and the display device are the same physical device.

13. The system of claim 1 wherein the display device adjusts an angle of display of at least one of the decorating content items.

14. A computer implemented method for decorating a space with decorating content items, comprising the steps of:

receiving decorating preferences;

selecting the decorating content items based on the decorating preferences; and

transmitting the decorating content items to a controller in electronic communication with a display device;

decorating the space with at least one of the decorating content items displayed by the display device.

15. The method of claim 14 wherein the space is a hotel.

16. The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of:

receiving the decorating content items from a file uploaded by a user to a server; and

storing the decorating content items in a storage.

17. The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of:

receiving payment from a user for the decorating content items.

18. The method of claim 14 wherein one of the decorating content items comprises advertising.

19. The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of:

scanning the space; and

basing the step of selecting on characteristics of the space.

20. The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of:

basing the step of selecting on a decorating theme selected by the user.
