Abstract

A method and apparatus for displaying information on at least two touch screens are provided. The method includes sensing a first touch-drag on a first touch screen; sensing a first touch on a second touch screen; and displaying, on at least one of the first and second touch screens, information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the touch on the second touch screen, if the touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen are simultaneously sensed.

Claims

1. A method for displaying information on at least two touch screens, the method comprising:

sensing a first touch-drag on a first touch screen;

sensing a first touch on a second touch screen; and

displaying, on at least one of the first and second touch screens, information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the touch on the second touch screen, if the touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen are simultaneously sensed.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first touch-drag on the first touch screen is performed by touching the first touch screen at a first position and dragging from the first position to a second position.

The method of claim 1, wherein simultaneously sensing the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen is one of simultaneous sensing of the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen, sensing of the first touch on the second touch screen during the first touch-drag on the first touch screen, and sensing of the first touch-drag on the first touch screen during the first touch on the second touch screen.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises:

displaying, on the first touch screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the first touch screen, and maintaining, on the second touch screen, an application already displayed on the second touch screen.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein sensing the first touch on the second touch screen further comprises:

sensing a second touch-drag performed by dragging the first touch on the second touch screen, and

wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises displaying, on the first screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the first touch screen, and displaying, on the second touch screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the second touch screen.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein sensing the first-touch drag on the first touch screen further comprises sensing a dragging direction of the first touch-drag on the first touch screen, and

wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises displaying, on the at least one of the first and second touch screens, the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen.

The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises displaying, on the at least one of the first and second touch screens, one of a plurality of pieces of information having a predetermined order according to the predetermined order.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein sensing the first touch on the second touch screen further comprises:

sensing a second touch-drag performed by dragging the first touch on the second touch screen, and

wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises displaying, on the first screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the first touch screen, and displaying, on the second touch screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the second touch screen.

The method of claim 7, wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the second touch-drag comprises exchanging, on the first and second touch screens, the application already displayed on the first touch screen with the application already displayed on the second touch screen.

10. The method of claim 7, wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the second touch drag comprises displaying, on the first and second touch screens, a plurality applications available for selection.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen comprises displaying, while the first touch-drag on the first touch screen is in progress, information already displayed before sensing the first touch drag together with information to be displayed after sensing the first touch drag is completed.

12. The method of claim 1, further comprising changing a position of content in an application displayed on the first touch screen, if the first touch drag and the second touch are not simultaneously sensed.

13. An apparatus for displaying information on at least two touch screens, the apparatus comprising:

a first touch screen for sensing a first touch-drag on the first touch screen;

a second touch screen for sensing a first touch on the second touch screen; and

a processor for controlling, on at least one of the first and second touch screens, display of information corresponding to the first-touch drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen, if the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen are simultaneously sensed.

The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the processor includes a display unit for, when displaying the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen, displaying, on the first touch screen, an application other than an application already displayed on the first touch screen, and maintaining, on the second touch screen, an application already displayed on the second touch screen.

15. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the processor comprises:

an input unit for sensing a second touch-drag for dragging the second touch on the second touch screen, and

a display unit for controlling, in response to sensing of the second touch-drag, display of an application that is different from an application displayed on the first touch screen, and display of another application that is different from an application displayed on the second touch screen.

16. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the processor comprises:

an input unit for sensing a dragging direction of the first touch-drag on the first touch screen; and

a display unit for controlling display of, on the at least one of the first and second touch screens, the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the second touch according to the dragging direction of the first touch-drag on the first touch screen.

The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the processor includes a display unit for, when the information corresponding to the first touch drag and the second touch are displayed, controlling display of information already displayed before the sensing of the first-touch drag on the first touch screen together with information to be displayed after sensing the first touch drag, during the first touch drag in progress.

18. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the processor comprises:

a multi-touch display unit for controlling display of, on the first touch screen, the information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen, when the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen are simultaneously sensed; and

a single-touch display unit for controlling display of, on the first touch screen, information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen, when the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen are not simultaneously sensed.

The apparatus of claim 18, wherein when displaying the information corresponding to the first touch drag on the first touch screen, the single-touch display unit changes a position of content in an application displayed on the first touch screen, in correspondence with the first touch-drag on the first touch screen.

20. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium that stores a program for executing a method for displaying information on at least two touch screens, the method comprising:

sensing a first touch-drag on a first touch screen;

sensing a first touch on a second touch screen; and

displaying, on at least one of the first and second touch screens, information corresponding to the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second touch screen, if the first touch-drag on the first touch screen and the first touch on the second screen are simultaneously sensed.
