Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a communication apparatus which makes it possible to, when one communication means of a plurality of communication means performs a communication, prevent the occurrences of interference with the communication due to communications performed by the other communication means.

CONSTITUTION: A communication apparatus includes a first communication unit having a first communication means for transmitting a first transmission signal and a suspension means for suspending the transmission of the first transmission signal performed by the first communication means; and a second communication unit having a second communication means for performing communication using a communication signal affected by interference due to the first transmission signal and a communication arbitration means for instructing the suspension means to execute the suspension when having detected first information included in information to be transmitted to an external apparatus by the second communication means or information having been received from the external apparatus by the second communication means, and instructing the suspension means to release the suspension when having detected second information included in the information to be transmitted or the information having been received.

Claims

1. A communication apparatus, comprising:

a first communication unit including first communication device to transmit a first transmission signal and suspension device to suspend the transmission of the first transmission signal performed by the first communication device; and

a second communication unit including second communication device to perform communication using a communication signal affected by interference due to the first transmission signal, and communication arbitration device to instructing the suspension device to execute the suspension when having detected first information included in information to be transmitted to an external apparatus by the second communication device or information having been received from the external apparatus by the second communication device, and to instruct the suspension device to release the suspension when having detected second information included in the information to be transmitted or the information having been received.

The communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the communication arbitration device instructs the suspension device to execute the suspension when having detected the first information included in the information to be transmitted, and instructs the suspension device to release the suspension when having detected the second information included in the information having been received.

The communication apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the first information is information which is transmitted by the second communication device at the beginning of a predetermined information exchange commenced between the second communication device and the external communication apparatus, and the second information is information which is received by the second communication device at the end of the information exchange.

The communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the communication arbitration device instructs the suspension device to execute the suspension or release the suspension in synchronization with a reference timing at which a predetermined packet is transmitted and received to/from the external communication apparatus.

The communication apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the communication arbitration device instructs the suspension device to execute the suspension in synchronization with the reference timing, and after having instructed the suspension, the communication arbitration device instructs the suspension device to release the suspension when having detected the second information included in the received information.

6. The communication apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the predetermined information exchange is performed between the second communication device and the external communication apparatus during a predetermined period after the reference timing.

7. The communication apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the information exchange includes a transmission of a request for predetermined processing to the external communication apparatus, and a reception of a response to the request therefor from the external communication apparatus.

8. The communication apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the information exchange includes a transmission and a reception of a broadcast packet.

9. The communication apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the external communication apparatus is a DHCP server, and the information exchange is an information exchange with the DHCP server for acquiring an IP address therefrom.

The communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the second communication unit includes a second suspension device to suspend a transmission of a second transmission signal performed by the second communication device, and the communication arbitration device releases the suspension of the transmission of the second signal when suspending the transmission of the first transmission signal, and suspends the transmission of the second transmission signal when releasing the suspension of the transmission of the first transmission signal.

11. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the communication arbitration device suspends a communication operation performed by the first communication device when suspending the transmission of the first transmission signal.

12. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the communication arbitration device suspends a communication operation performed by the second communication device when suspending the transmission of the second transmission signal.

13. A communication control method, comprising:

instructing suspension means, which suspends a transmission of a first transmission signal performed by first communication means, to execute the suspension when having detected first information included in information to be transmitted to an external apparatus by second communication means which performs communication using a communication signal affected by interference due to the first transmission signal, or when having detected first information included in information having been received from the external communication apparatus by the second communication means; and

instructing the suspension means to release the suspension when having detected second information included in the information to be transmitted or the information having been received.

14. The communication control method according to claim 13, wherein the communication control method includes instructing the suspension means to execute the suspension or release the suspension in synchronization with a reference timing at which a predetermined packet is transmitted and received to/from the external communication apparatus.

A communication control program storage medium that stores therein a communication control program causing a computer, which is incorporated in a communication apparatus including a first communication unit having first communication means for transmitting a first transmission signal, and suspension means for suspending the transmission of the first transmission signal performed by the first communication means, and a second communication unit having second communication means for performing communication using a communication signal affected by interference due to the first transmission signal, and communication arbitration means, to function as means comprising:

means for instructing the suspension means to execute the suspension when having detected first information included in information to be transmitted to an external apparatus by the second communication means or information having been received from the external apparatus by the second communication means; and

means for instructing the suspension means to release the suspension when having detected second information included in the information to be transmitted or the information having been received.

16. The communication control program storage medium that stores therein the communication control program set forth in claim 15, wherein the communication control program causes the computer to function as means for instructing the suspension means to execute the suspension or release the suspension in synchronization with a reference timing at which a predetermined packet is transmitted and received to/from the external communication apparatus.

17. A communication apparatus, comprising:

a first communication unit including first communication means for transmitting a first transmission signal and suspension means for suspending the transmission of the first transmission signal performed by the first communication means; and

a second communication unit including second communication means for performing communication using a communication signal affected by interference due to the first transmission signal, and communication arbitration means for instructing the suspension means to execute the suspension when having detected first information included in information to be transmitted to an external apparatus by the second communication means or information having been received from the external apparatus by the second communication means, and instructing the suspension means to release the suspension when having detected second information included in the information to be transmitted or the information having been received.
