Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for establishing a bearer for a machine to machine service and a network transmission device, where the method includes: receiving a user plane resource establishment request message sent by an MTC device, where the user plane resource establishment request message includes at least one of MTC features, QoS requirements, a service indication request and a group identity; determining negotiated QoS parameters according to the user plane resource establishment request message; and establishing a transmission bearer with the MTC device according to the negotiated QoS parameters. The present invention provides a method for establishing a transmission bearer between a network and an MTC device.

Claims

1. A method for establishing a bearer for a machine to machine (M2M) service, comprising:

receiving a user plane resource establishment request message sent by a machine type communication (MTC) device, wherein the user plane resource establishment request message comprises at least one of MTC features, quality of service (QoS) requirements, a service indication request and a group identity, and the QoS requirements are obtained by the MTC device according to the MTC features;

determining negotiated QoS parameters according to the user plane resource establishment request message; and

establishing a transmission bearer with the MTC device according to the negotiated QoS parameters.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal and an MTC gateway;

and the receiving the user plane resource establishment request message sent by the MTC device comprises;

receiving the user plane resource establishment request message sent by the MTC gateway, wherein the user plane resource establishment request message is sent by the MTC gateway according to an M2M service triggering request message, comprising an MTC terminal application layer identity, that is sent by the MTC terminal.

3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the user plane resource establishment request message further comprises a terminal identity that is obtained by the MTC gateway according to the MTC terminal application layer identity;

and

the determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to at least one of the MTC features, the QoS requirements and the service indication request comprises;

determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to the terminal identity and at least one of the MTC features, the QoS requirements and the service indication request.

4. The method according to claim 3, wherein the determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to at least one of the MTC features, the QoS requirements and the service indication request comprises:

when the MTC features are MTC features subscribed for by the MTC device, determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to the MTC features;

or, obtaining, according to the MTC features subscribed for by the MTC device, maximum QoS requirements capable of being provided, and when the QoS requirements do not exceed the maximum QoS requirements, determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to the QoS requirements; and

when the QoS requirements exceed the maximum QoS requirements, determining the negotiated QoS parameters according to the maximum QoS requirements;

or, mapping the service indication request into QoS parameters, and when the QoS parameters satisfy the maximum QoS requirements, using the QoS parameters as the negotiated QoS parameters.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal, or the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal and an MTC gateway;

and

the user plane resource establishment request message comprises at least one of MTC features of a group of MTC terminals, QoS requirements of a group of MTC terminals and a service indication request of a group of MTC terminals, or the user plane resource establishment request message comprises a group identity of a group of MTC terminals.

6. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

receiving, by a network transmission device, a protocol data unit (PDU) data packet, wherein the PDU data packet comprises auxiliary information, and notifying, by the network transmission device, the auxiliary information to an MTC device, wherein the auxiliary information is used for instructing the MTC device to perform service communication when the MTC device judges that service trigger conditions comprised in the auxiliary information are satisfied.

7. The method according to claim 6, wherein the network transmission device notifies the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using a paging message.

8. The method according to claim 7, wherein the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal, the network transmission device comprises a gateway GPRS support node (GGSN) and an serving GPRS support node (SGSN), and the PDU data packet further comprises an MTC terminal application layer identity;

and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using the paging message comprises;

receiving, by the GGSN, the PDU data packet and obtaining a terminal identity according to the MTC terminal application layer identity;

sending, by the GGSN, a PDU Notification Request message comprising the terminal identity and the auxiliary information to the SGSN; and

adding, by the SGSN, the auxiliary information into the paging message, and sending the paging message to the MTC terminal according to the terminal identity.

9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the MTC device comprises the MTC terminal and an MTC gateway, the network transmission device comprises the GGSN and the SGSN, and the PDU data packet further comprises an MTC gateway application layer identity;

and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using the paging message comprises;

receiving, by the GGSN, the PDU data packet and obtaining a gateway identity according to the MTC gateway application layer identity;

sending, by the GGSN, a PDU Notification Request message carrying the gateway identity and the auxiliary information to the SGSN;

adding, by the SGSN, the auxiliary information into the paging message, and sending the paging message to the MTC gateway according to the gateway identity; and

notifying, by the MTC gateway, the auxiliary information to the MTC terminal.

10. The method according to claim 6, wherein the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device comprises:

receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet, and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using a downlink channel.

11. The method according to claim 10, wherein the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal, the network transmission device comprises a GGSN and an SGSN, and the PDU data packet further comprises an MTC terminal application layer identity;

and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using the downlink channel comprises;

receiving, by the GGSN, the PDU data packet, and obtaining a terminal identity according to the MTC terminal application layer identity;

sending, by the GGSN, a PDU Notification Request message carrying the terminal identity and the auxiliary information to the SGSN;

adding, by the SGSN, channel notification information for indicating the downlink channel into the paging message, and sending the paging message to the MTC terminal according to the terminal identity; and

obtaining, by the MTC terminal, the auxiliary information from the downlink channel according to the channel notification information.

12. The method according to claim 10, wherein the MTC device comprises an MTC terminal and an MTC gateway, the network transmission device comprises a GGSN and an SGSN, and the PDU data packet further comprises an MTC gateway application layer identity;

and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using the downlink channel comprises;

receiving, by the GGSN, the PDU data packet, and obtaining a gateway identity according to the MTC gateway application layer identity;

sending, by the GGSN, a PDU Notification Request message carrying the gateway identity and the auxiliary information to the SGSN;

adding, by the SGSN, channel notification information for indicating the downlink channel into the paging message, and sending the paging message to the MTC gateway according to the gateway identity;

and obtaining, by the MTC gateway, the auxiliary information from the downlink channel according to the channel notification information, and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC terminal.

The method according to claims 8, wherein the PDU data packet further comprises indication information for indicating one of a mobile originated (MO) service and a mobile terminated (MT) service, and the paging message further comprises the indication information so that the MTC device judges, according to the indication information, whether to respond to the paging message;

or

wherein the PDU data packet further comprises a group identity, the PDU Notification Request message further comprises the group identity, and the paging message further comprises the group identity; and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device comprises;

receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet, and notifying, by the network transmission device, the auxiliary information to MTC devices belonging to a group corresponding to the group identity, wherein the auxiliary information is used for instructing the MTC devices belonging to the group corresponding to the group identity to perform service communication when the MTC devices belonging to the group corresponding to the group identity judge that the service trigger conditions comprised in the auxiliary information are satisfied.

14. The method according to claims 8, wherein the SGSN sends the paging message according to movement area information, and the movement area information is pre-configured or obtained by a registration process, or carried by the PDU data packet and the PDU Notification Request message.

15. The method according to claim 6, wherein the PDU data packet further comprises a group identity, and the network transmission device comprises a GGSN and an SGSN;

and

the receiving, by the network transmission device, the PDU data packet and notifying the auxiliary information to the MTC device comprises;

receiving, by the GGSN, the PDU data packet and obtaining a network group identity according to the group identity;

sending, by the GGSN, a PDU Notification Request message carrying the network group identity and the auxiliary information to the SGSN; and

adding, by the SGSN, the auxiliary information into the paging message, and sending the paging message to the MTC device according to the network group identity.

The method according to claim 15, wherein the PDU data packet further comprises indication information for indicating one of a mobile originated service and a mobile terminated service, and the paging message further comprises the indication information so that the MTC device judges, according to the indication information, whether to respond to the paging message.

17. A network transmission device, comprising:

a receiving module, configured to receive a user plane resource establishment request message sent by a machine type communication (MTC) device, wherein the user plane resource establishment request message comprises at least one of MTC features, quality of service (QoS) requirements, a service indication request and a group identity;

a negotiating module, configured to determine negotiated QoS parameters according to the user plane resource establishment request message; and

an establishing module, configured to establish a transmission bearer with the MTC device according to the negotiated QoS parameters.

18. The network transmission device according to claim 17, further comprising:

a receiving module, configured to receive a protocol data unit (PDU) data packet sent by an MTC server, wherein the PDU data packet comprises auxiliary information, wherein the auxiliary information is used for instructing the MTC device to perform service communication when the MTC device judges that service trigger conditions comprised in the auxiliary information are satisfied; and

a notifying module, configured to notify the auxiliary information to the MTC device by using a paging message or a downlink channel.

19. The network transmission device according to claim 17, wherein the negotiating module is configured to:

when the MTC features are MTC features subscribed for by the MTC device, determine the negotiated QoS parameters according to the MTC features;

or, obtain, according to the MTC features subscribed for by the MTC device, maximum QoS requirements capable of being provided;

when the QoS requirements do not exceed the maximum QoS requirements, determine the negotiated QoS parameters according to the QoS requirements;

and when the QoS requirements exceed the maximum QoS requirements, determine the negotiated QoS parameters according to the maximum QoS requirements;

or, map the service indication request into QoS parameters, and when the QoS parameters satisfy the maximum QoS requirements, use the QoS parameters as the negotiated QoS parameters.

20. A machine type communication server, comprising:

a sending module, configured to send a protocol data unit (PDU) data packet to a network transmission device, wherein the PDU data packet comprises auxiliary information so that the network transmission device notifies the auxiliary information to a machine type communication (MTC) device, wherein the auxiliary information is used for instructing the MTC device to perform service communication when the MTC device judges that service trigger conditions comprised in the auxiliary information are satisfied; and

a communicating module, configured to perform service communication with the MTC device when the MTC device judges that the service trigger conditions comprised in the auxiliary information are satisfied.
