Abstract

Disclosed are a vehicle navigation system and a method for controlling a vehicle navigation system. The vehicle navigation system of the present invention comprises: a storage unit; a communication unit for receiving image data mapped with route guidance information from a vehicle black box provided in a vehicle; and a control unit for storing the received image data in a storage unit. The present invention can utilize the image data mapped with the route guidance information as reference data for determining details of an accident by storing the image data mapped with the route guidance information to confirm information including a destination of a driver of an accident vehicle when an accident happens.

Claims

1. A vehicle navigation apparatus comprising:

a storage unit;

a communication unit configured to receive image data mapped to route guidance information from a vehicle black box mounted in a vehicle; and

a controller configured to store the received image data at the storage unit.

2. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the route guidance information is mapped to the image data using identification information of the image data.

3. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 2, wherein the image data identification information comprises at least one of storage medium information, folder information, and file information.

4. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 2, wherein the route guidance information comprises first and second sub-route guidance information, and

the first and second sub-route guidance information is mapped to identification information of the first and second image data, respectively.

5. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the route guidance information comprises a plurality of sub-route guidance information, and

the image data is mapped to the sub-route guidance information.

6. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 5, wherein the sub-route guidance information mapped to the image data is added to the image data.

7. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 5, wherein the image data comprises a plurality of image frames, and

the image frame is mapped to the sub-route guidance information.

8. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the route guidance information comprises re-route guidance information acquired by re-searching when the vehicle deviates from the route.

9. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 8, wherein the image data comprises image data before being deviated from the route and image data after being deviated from the route, and

the controller is configured to distinguish and store image data before being deviated from the route and image data after being deviated from the route.

10. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to store the image data before being deviated from the route and the image data after being deviated from the route at different folders.

11. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to store the image data before being deviated from the route and the image data after being deviated from the route as different files.

12. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the route guidance information comprises route setting time information, which is a time point to which a route found by a user request is set.

13. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to distinguish the received image data according to the route guidance information mapped to the received image data and to store the received image data at the storage unit.

14. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 13, wherein the controller is configured to distinguish the received image data according to acquired segment information using the route guidance information mapped to the received image data and to store the received image data at the storage unit.

15. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 13, wherein the controller is configured to store image data belonging to the same segment among the received image data as a single file.

16. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a display unit,

wherein the controller is configured to output the route guidance information mapped to the received image data to the display unit.

17. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 1, wherein the received image data is mapped to location information, and

the controller is configured to acquire trace information corresponding to the received image data using the location information mapped to the received image data navigation.

18. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 17, further comprising a display unit,

wherein the controller is configured to output the route guidance information and the trace information to the display unit.

19. The vehicle navigation apparatus of claim 17, wherein the location information comprises at least one of address information, geographical name information, firm name information, point of interest (POI) information, and position information acquired using a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal.

20. A vehicle black box comprising:

a storage unit;

a communication unit configured to receive route guidance information from a vehicle navigation apparatus mounted in a vehicle; and

a controller configured to map image data acquired by photographing the inside and the outside of the vehicle to the received route guidance information and to store the image data at the storage unit.

21. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the controller is configured to map the received route guidance information to the image data using identification information of the image data.

22. The vehicle black box of claim 21, wherein the image data identification information comprises at least one of storage medium information, folder information, and file information.

23. The vehicle black box of claim 21, wherein the received route guidance information comprises first and second sub-route guidance information, and

the controller is configured to map the first and second sub-route guidance information to identification information of the first and second image data, respectively.

24. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the received route guidance information comprises a plurality of sub-route guidance information, and

the controller is configured to map the image data to the sub-route guidance information.

25. The vehicle black box of claim 24, wherein the controller is configured to add the received sub-route guidance information mapped to the image data to the image data.

26. The vehicle black box of claim 24, wherein the image data comprises a plurality of image frames, and

the controller is configured to map the image frame to the sub-route guidance information.

27. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the received route guidance information comprises re-route guidance information acquired by re-searching when the vehicle deviates from the route.

28. The vehicle black box of claim 27, wherein the image data comprises image data before being deviated from the route and image data after being deviated from the route, and

the controller is configured to distinguish and store the image data before being deviated from the route and the image data after being deviated from the route.

29. The vehicle black box of claim 28, wherein the controller is configured to store the image data before being deviated from the route and the image data after being deviated from the route at different folders.

30. The vehicle black box of claim 28, wherein the controller is configured to store the image data before being deviated from the route and the image data after being deviated from the route as different files.

31. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the received route guidance information comprises route setting time information, which is a time point in which a route found by a user request is set.

32. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the controller is configured to distinguish the image data according to the received route guidance information and store the image data at the storage unit.

33. The vehicle black box of claim 32, wherein the controller is configured to distinguish the image data according to segment information acquired using the received route guidance information and to store the image data at the storage unit.

34. The vehicle black box of claim 32, wherein the controller is configured to store image data belonging to the same segment among the image data as a single file.

35. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the controller is configured to transmit the image data to which the received route guidance information is mapped to the vehicle navigation apparatus through the communication unit.

36. The vehicle black box of claim 20, wherein the controller is configured to map the image data to location information.

37. The vehicle black box of claim 36, wherein the location information comprises at least one of address information, geographical name information, firm name information, POI information, and position information acquired using a GNSS signal.

38. A method of controlling a vehicle navigation apparatus, the method comprising:

receiving image data mapped to guidance route information from a vehicle black box mounted in a vehicle;

storing the received image data; and

outputting the route guidance information mapped to the received image data.

39. The method of claim 38, wherein the route guidance information comprises re-route guidance information acquired by re-searching when the vehicle deviates from a route.

40. The method of claim 38, wherein the storing of the received image data comprises distinguishing and storing the received image data according to the route guidance information mapped to the received image data.

41. A computer readable recording medium on which a program for executing the method of any one of claims 38 to 40 is recorded in a computer.
