Abstract
Methods, computer systems, and computer readable media for reducing disruptions to a clinician during medication administration are provided. An input is received indicating that the medication-administration process has been initiated by the clinician. The medication-administration process is associated with one patient in a clinical care room. Incident to receiving this input, the clinician is prevented from receiving messages concerning patients and other matters not related to the one patient in the clinical care room. In addition, one or more visual indicators are provided to alert other clinicians, patients, and visitors that the clinician has begun the medication-administration process.

14. One or more computer-readable storage media having embodied thereon computer-useable instructions which, when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to perform a method for transitioning a clinical care room from a first scene to a second scene in order to facilitate completion of a medication-administration process, the method comprising:
-
presenting the first scene in the clinical care room, the clinical care room having one or more zones and the first scene being associated with a first group of settings for components within the one or more zones; receiving an input indicating the medication-administration process has been initiated for a patient in the clinical care room; and incident to receiving the input, providing the second scene in the clinical care room, the second scene being associated with a second group of settings for the components within the one or more zones, the second group of settings different from the first group of settings, wherein the second group of settings are optimized to facilitate completion of the medication-administration process. - View Dependent Claims (15)
