1. A wireless device for operation in a wireless network comprising:
- a processor;
a radio receiver and transmitter unit coupled to the processor;
a graphical user interface (GUI) coupled to the processor; and
a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to provide the processor with instructions which when executed cause the processor to;
receive a purchase alert related to a quota during a packet data session established in the wireless network;
receive a plurality of offers related to the quota from the wireless network;
display the purchase alert and the plurality of offers on the GUI;
receive a user selection of one of the offers from the GUI; and
transmit the user selection of the offer to the wireless network during the packet data session.
