Abstract

Embodiments of the technology involve apparatus and methods for control of displaying of images. In an example, an apparatus may include an image display, a sensor to detect posture of the image display and a processor to control sequentially displaying images of a group of images on the image display based on changes in the detected posture. The processor may control a display of a posture indicator on the image display such that the indicator may represent a relation between a change in the detected posture and an image of the group of images. Optionally, the indicator may be represented by a tilt meter. Moreover, in some embodiments, the sensor may be implemented with a gyroscopic sensor.

Claims

1. A method of a processor to control a display of images comprising:

detecting posture of an image display device with a sensor;

sequentially displaying images of a group of images on the image display device based on changes in the detected posture; and

displaying a posture indicator on the image display device, the indicator representing a relation between a change in the detected posture and an image of the group of images.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the indicator comprises a graphic tilt meter.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the processor associates a normalized tilt angle with an image of the sequentially displayed images.

4. The method of claim 3 wherein the normalized tilt angle comprises an angle determined as a function of image capture angle information and a maximum tilt angle.

5. The method of claim 4 wherein the image capture angle information comprises a range of captured image angles.

6. The method of claim 5 wherein the maximum tilt angle comprises a display viewing angle limit.

7. The method of claim 1 further comprising sequentially displaying entrance images for groups of images on the image display device based on changes in the detected posture.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein the sensor comprises a gyroscopic sensor.

17. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the sensor comprises a gyroscopic sensor.

9. An apparatus for control of displaying of images comprising:

an image display;

a sensor to detect posture of the image display;

a processor to control sequentially displaying images of a group of images on the image display based on changes in the detected posture; and

wherein the processor controls a display of a posture indicator on the image display, the indicator representing a relation between a change in the detected posture and an image of the group of images.

10. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the indicator comprises a tilt meter.

11. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the processor controls associating a normalized tilt angle with an image of the sequentially displayed images.

12. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the detection of posture comprises a detection of angular velocity and wherein the processor controls changing the display based on the angular velocity.

13. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein the processor controls calculating the normalized tilt angle as a function of image capture angle information and a maximum tilt angle.

14. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the image capture angle information comprises a range of captured image angles.

15. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the maximum tilt angle comprises a display viewing angle limit.

16. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the processor controls sequentially displaying entrance images for groups of images on the image display device based on changes in the detected posture.

18. A system for control of displaying images comprising:

a display means for image displaying;

a posture means for sensing posture of the means for image displaying;

a control means for controlling sequentially displaying images of a group of images on the display means based on changes in the sensed posture; and

wherein the control means controls a display of a means for posture indicating on the image display, the means for posture indicating representing a relation between a change in the sensed posture and an image of the group of images.

19. The system of claim 18 wherein the control means controls associating of a normalized tilt angle with an image of the sequentially displayed images.

20. The system of claim 19 wherein the control means controls calculating the normalized tilt angle as a function of image capture angle information and a maximum tilt angle.

21. The system of claim 20 wherein the image capture angle information comprises a range of captured image angles determined by the posture means.
