ILLUMINATION SYSTEM
First Claim
1. An illumination system, comprising:
- a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in an area and spaced apart from each other, each light emitting device comprising a plurality of light emitting diode arrays each comprising one light emitting diode or a plurality of light emitting diodes connected in series, the numbers of light emitting diodes in each light emitting diode array being different from the number of light emitting diodes in each other light emitting diode array; and
a controller configured to establish one or more groups, each group comprising one or more of the light emitting devices, and the controller is configured to adjust an illumination state of a selected group of the one or more groups by adjusting the illumination state of each light emitting device in the selected group by controlling a driving state of the light emitting diode arrays included in each light emitting device of the selected group, wherein the controller is configured to determine the number of light emitting devices included in each group based on sensing information.

Abstract
An illumination system includes multiple light emitting devices arranged in an area so as to be spaced apart from each other. Each light emitting device includes multiple light emitting diode arrays each of which has one light emitting diode or a plurality of light emitting diodes connected in series. The numbers of the light emitting diodes included in each light emitting diode arrays differs from each other. A controller is configured to establish one or more groups each including one or more light emitting devices and adjust an illumination state of each light emitting device by controlling the driving state of the one or more light emitting diode arrays included in each light emitting device. The controller may select the number of light emitting devices included in each group based on an external condition.

20. A method of driving a plurality of light emitting devices in an area, the method comprising:
-
driving a first light emitting diode array of the light emitting devices based on an initial illumination state; receiving sensing information for the area; dividing the area into a plurality of groups, each group comprising at least one light emitting device, based on the received sensing information; and adjusting an illumination state of the light emitting devices in each group in response to the sensing information. - View Dependent Claims (21, 22, 23, 24)
