Abstract

A rice cooker comprising several inner containers, wherein a set of cooking parameters for each inner container is independently selectable, thus, permitting the automatic and simultaneous preparation of different style, recipe or taste of rice in each of the plurality of the inner containers.

Claims

1. A rice cooker comprising a plurality of inner containers, wherein a set of cooking parameters for each inner container is independently selectable, thus, permitting the automatic and simultaneous preparation of different style, recipe or taste of rice in each of the plurality of the inner containers.

The rice cooker of claim 1, further comprising at least one compressible element under each of the plurality of inner containers, wherein the at least one compressible element is compressed when the main lid of the rice cooker is closed and decompressed when the main lid is opened such that the at least one compressible element causes the lifting of the inner containers.

3. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein the cooker is configured to provide automatic recognition of which inner container is operational at a certain time and to display associated data on the display portion of a control panel.

4. The rice cooker of claim 3, wherein the determining factor for the automatic recognition is the weight of the inner containers.

5. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of inner containers is nested inside each other, and the stack of inner containers obtained, together with the inner containers'"'"' lids, is nested inside the cooker for shipping or storage purposes.

6. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein the inner containers are equal in size.

7. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein said plurality of inner containers consists of three inner containers.

8. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein said plurality of inner containers consists of two inner containers.

9. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein said plurality of inner containers is operationally replaceable at least in part with a single larger inner container.

10. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein the main lid of the cooker has a gasketed transparent portion, which allows users to monitor the cooking in the plurality of inner containers.

11. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein each one of said plurality of inner containers has a lid comprising a handle.

12. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein the set of cooking parameters comprises temperature and time.

13. The rice cooker of claim 1, wherein the set of cooking parameters are automatically selected by user actuating a preprogrammed button for a particular style of rice.

14. A method of simultaneously cooking different style, recipe or taste of rice comprising in any order the steps of:

placing rice in each independently operable inner container of a rice cooker having a plurality of inner containers;

adding different food ingredients in each inner container according to the recipe followed in each inner container; and

, selecting different cooking parameters for each inner container according to the style, recipe or taste of rice desired to be cooked in each inner container.

15. The method of claim 14 wherein the cooking parameters are temperature and time.
