Abstract

A system and method for providing a demand driven promotion system supporting social networking and searching, substantially as shown in and/or described in connection with at least one of the figures, as set forth more completely in the claims.

Claims

1. A method for advertising buyer groups comprising:

receiving input from a user, the input comprising search criteria;

identifying search results responsive to the search criteria;

identifying a buyer group related to one or both of the search criteria and at least a portion of the search results;

delivering for display on the user'"'"'s user device, the search results responsive to the search request; and

delivering for display on the given user'"'"'s user device, information regarding the identified buyer group.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the information regarding the identified buyer group includes a link to a buyer interface corresponding to the identified buyer group.

3. The method of claim 2, comprising vectoring the given user'"'"'s user device to the buyer interface corresponding to the identified buyer group in response to input selecting the link.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the search results responsive to the search request and the information regarding the identified buyer group are delivered for concurrent display on a single screen of the given user'"'"'s user device.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the input is received via a general purpose search engine interface.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the identifying search results comprises searching or causing searching of one or more product databases.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the identifying the buyer group comprises searching or causing searching of one or more buyer group databases.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the searching of one or more product databases and of the one or more buyer group databases occurs concurrently.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the identifying the buyer group comprises searching or causing searching of one or more buyer group databases.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the search criteria comprises product information related to the product the buyer group is interested in buying.

11. A system for advertising buyer groups comprising:

at least one module that operates to, at least;

receive input from a user, the input comprising search criteria;

identify search results responsive to the search criteria;

identify a buyer group related to one or both of the search criteria and at least a portion of the search results;

deliver for display on the user'"'"'s user device, the search results responsive to the search request; and

deliver for display on the given user'"'"'s user device, information regarding the identified buyer group.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the information regarding the identified buyer group includes a link to a buyer interface corresponding to the identified buyer group.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the at least one module operates to vector the given user'"'"'s user device to the buyer interface corresponding to the identified buyer group in response to input selecting the link.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein the at least one module operates to deliver the search results responsive to the search request and deliver the information regarding the identified buyer group for concurrent display on a single screen of the given user'"'"'s user device.

15. The system of claim 11, wherein the input is received via a general purpose search engine interface.

16. The system of claim 11, wherein the at least one module operates to identify search results by searching or causing searching of one or more product databases.

17. The system of claim 16, wherein the identifying the buyer group comprises searching or causing searching of one or more buyer group databases.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the searching of one or more product databases and of the one or more buyer group databases occurs concurrently.

19. The system of claim 11, wherein the identifying the buyer group comprises searching or causing searching of one or more buyer group databases.

20. The system of claim 11, wherein the search criteria comprises product information related to the product the buyer group is interested in buying.
