Abstract

Interactive secret sharing includes receiving video data from a source and interpreting the video data to track an observed path of a device. In addition, position information is received from the device, and the position information is interpreted to track a self-reported path of the device. If the observed path is within a threshold tolerance of the self-reported path, access is provided to a restricted resource.

Claims

1. A data-holding subsystem holding instructions executable by a logic subsystem to:

receive video data from a source;

interpret the video data to track an observed path of a device;

receive position information from the device;

interpret the position information to track a self-reported path of the device; and

if the observed path is within a threshold tolerance of the self-reported path, provide access to a restricted resource.

2. The data-holding subsystem of claim 1, where the source includes a depth camera.

3. The data-holding subsystem of claim 2, where the video data includes a sequence of depth maps, each depth map including a matrix of pixels, and each pixel including depth information indicating a depth of an object observed at that pixel.

4. The data-holding subsystem of claim 3, where interpreting the video data includes modeling a computer user as a virtual skeleton including a plurality of joints.

5. The data-holding subsystem of claim 4, where tracking the observed path of the device includes tracking an observed path of a hand joint of the virtual skeleton.

6. The data-holding subsystem of claim 1, where interpreting the video data includes recognizing the device.

7. The data-holding subsystem of claim 1, where the restricted resource is an electronic document.

8. The data-holding subsystem of claim 1, where providing access to the restricted resource includes allowing a user to log on to a multimedia console.

9. The data-holding subsystem of claim 1, where providing access to the restricted resource includes executing an application.

10. A data-holding subsystem holding instructions executable by a logic subsystem to:

receive first motion information from a source;

discern a first user motion from the first motion information;

send a representation of the first user motion to a remote device;

receive a representation of a second user motion from the remote device; and

if the first user motion is within a threshold tolerance of the second user motion, provide access to a restricted resource.

11. The data-holding subsystem of claim 10, where the first motion information includes a sequence of depth maps, each depth map including a matrix of pixels, and each pixel including depth information indicating a depth of an object observed at that pixel.

12. The data-holding subsystem of claim 11, where the source includes a depth camera.

13. The data-holding subsystem of claim 10, where the first motion information includes position, velocity, acceleration, and/or orientation information of a local device including the data-holding subsystem.

14. The data-holding subsystem of claim 13, where the source includes an accelerometer and/or gyroscope.

15. The data-holding subsystem of claim 10, where the representation of the first user motion sent to the remote device is configured so that the remote device outputs a mimicable expression of the first user motion to a remote user.

16. The data-holding subsystem of claim 10, where providing access to the restricted resource includes providing a restricted communication channel.

17. The data-holding subsystem of claim 10, where providing access to the restricted resource includes providing access to a multi-player game session.

18. A data-holding subsystem holding instructions executable by a logic subsystem to:

receive first motion and/or sound information from a source;

discern a first user motion and/or sound occurring at a first time from the first motion and/or sound information;

receive a representation of a second user motion and/or from a remote device, the second user motion and/or sound occurring at a second time, different than the first time; and

if the first user motion is within a threshold tolerance of the second user motion and/or if the first user sound is within a threshold tolerance for the second user sound, provide access to a restricted resource.

19. The data-holding subsystem of claim 18, where the first motion information includes a sequence of depth maps, each depth map including a matrix of pixels, and each pixel including depth information indicating a depth of an object observed at that pixel.

20. The data-holding subsystem of claim 19, where the source includes a depth camera.
