Abstract

A method and a device are disclosed including a software or physical admission certificate configured to allow admission of a spectator to a special admission zone with a view to a performance stage for a predefined duration of time. The special admission zone is usable by multiple spectators in multiple successive time periods during the same performance. In various embodiments, the special admission zone is created by partitioning a general admission zone adjacent to the performance stage. In other embodiments, the special admission zone may be constructed as a “catwalk” around the stage to provide elevated viewing. In still other embodiments, the special admission zone may be formed near indoor or outdoor stages. In various embodiments, the admission certificate may be embodied in a computing device such as a smartphone, while in other embodiments the admission certificate may be in the form of a RFID equipped wristband.

Claims

1. An event admission certificate comprising:

a unique serial number configured to validate authorization to access a special admission zone adjacent to a performance stage for a predetermined amount of admission time less than a duration of the event, wherein the special admission zone is separate and distinct from a general seating area, and wherein access to the special admission zone is controlled using the unique serial number.

2. The event admission certificate of claim 1, further comprising a unique barcode used to identify the event.

3. The event admission certificate of claim 1, further comprising a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip configured to communicate the serial number to an RFID reader.

4. The event admission certificate of claim 3, wherein the RFID is of a Near Field Communication (NFC) type.

5. The event admission certificate of claim 1, wherein the event is a live performance event.

6. The event admission certificate of claim 5, wherein the live performance event is one of a music concert, a theatrical performance, a sports event, and a lecture.

7. The event admission certificate of claim 1, wherein the predetermined amount of admission time is used for rotation through the special admission zone of different patrons holding different admission certificates for the event.

8. The event admission certificate of claim 1, wherein the special admission zone is one of a front area next to the performance stage, a catwalk over the performance stage, a tethered helium balloon, and a helicopter.

9. The event admission certificate of claim 1, wherein the admission certificate is a wristband with an RFID chip embedded therein.

10. The event admission certificate of claim 1, wherein the admission certificate is a digital admission certificate downloaded to a mobile computing device.

11. A method of admission to a live performance event, the method comprising:

allowing a purchase of a special admission certificate including a unique serial number configured to be used in the live performance event;

using the unique serial number to validate authorization to be admitted as a holder of the special admission certificate to the live performance event; and

allowing the holder of the special admission certificate to access a special admission zone for a predefined duration of time.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing the holder of the special admission certificate special services.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the special services include providing air-conditioned facilities.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein the special services include meet and greet opportunity with a performer in the live performance event.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein the special admission certificate includes a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the RFID chip is used for data transmission between the special admission certificate and an RFID reader.

17. The method of claim 11, further comprising using a unique barcode included in the special admission certificate to identify the live performance event.

18. The method of claim 11, wherein the special admission certificate is a wristband with an embedded RFID chip.

19. The method of claim 11, wherein the special admission certificate is a digital admission certificate configured to be downloaded to a mobile computing device.

20. The method of claim 11, wherein the special admission zone is one of a front area next to the performance stage, a catwalk over the performance stage, a tethered helium balloon, and a helicopter.
