- a display unit configured to display an electronic document;
an image taking unit configured to take an image;
an eye-gaze position detecting unit configured to detect an eye-gaze position with respect to the display unit based on the image taken by the image taking unit;
a determining unit configured to determine whether the electronic document displayed on the display unit has been read based on the eye-gaze position detected by the eye-gaze position detecting unit; and
a performing unit configured to perform a predetermined process on the electronic document if the determining unit determines that the electronic document has been read.

A computer-readable storage medium having an electronic document control program stored thereon and readable by a processor of an electronic device which includes a display unit configured to display an electronic document and an image taking unit configured to take an image, the program, when executed by the processor, causing the processor to perform operations comprising:

detecting an eye-gaze position with respect to the display unit based on the image taken by the image taking unit; determining whether the electronic document displayed on the display unit has been read based on the detected eye-gaze position; and performing a predetermined process on the electronic document if it is determined that the electronic document has been read.
