- identifying, at a wireless access point, a client device in communication with the wireless access point based on a signal quality indicator associated with the client device, wherein the wireless access point is operable to communicate with the client device by transmitting a signal over a channel within at least one of a plurality of frequency bands; and
selecting a set of candidate frequency bands from the plurality of frequency bands, the set of candidate frequency bands associated with the identified client device, wherein each candidate frequency band in the set of candidate frequency bands supports a power level of the signal that satisfies a signal quality threshold associated with the client device.
