Abstract

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods, devices, and computer systems thereof for visibly or non-visibly indicating a subject has received a medical treatment. In certain embodiments, a subject receives an information mark in conjunction with a medical treatment. In certain embodiments, the information mark includes unique information relating to the subject. In certain embodiments, devices, computer systems, and methods relate to reading an information mark on a subject, and optionally determining if further medical treatment of the subject is warranted. In certain embodiments, receipt of an information mark entitles a subject to a reward.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

at least one therapeutic delivery device containing an information mark substance,

the at least one therapeutic delivery device including at least one controllable output controllable output mechanism configured for administration of at least one information mark to a subject;

at least one computing device including a receiver configured to receive at least one information signal from the information mark of a subject, wherein the therapeutic delivery device is operably coupled to the at least one computing device; and

a transmitter configured to transmit at least one information signal related to the information mark to or from an electronic registry.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the at least one information signal relates to information relating to the information mark administered to the subject.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the information mark substance includes at least one of a magnetic, reflective, fluorescent, visible, luminescent, acoustic scattering, radioactive, conductive, or other material.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the information reader includes a receiver.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the information reader includes at least one optical sensor.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the information mark includes information indicating the subject has received at least one medical treatment.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the information mark includes information indicating the subject is entitled to a reward.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein the controllable output mechanism is configured for at least one of topical delivery;

subcutaneous delivery;

intravenous delivery;

intramuscular delivery;

delivery to at least one body cavity;

delivery beneath or to at least one of the scalp, fingernail, toenail, navel, eyelid, eyebrow, lip, earlobe, nose, other facial feature, adipose tissue, or abdomen.

12. The system of claim 1, wherein the information mark includes information representing at least one attribute that is unique to the subject to whom it is administered.

13. The system of claim 1, further comprising an imaging device.

14. The system of claim 1, wherein the imaging device includes at least one camera.

10. The system of claim 10, wherein the needle-less injection device includes at least one of microprotrusion injection device, or nano-protrusion injection device.

15. A device, comprising:

at least one reservoir containing an information mark substance,

at least one controllable output controllable output mechanism operably coupled to the at least one reservoir and configured for administration of at least one information mark to a subject;

a receiver operably coupled to the at least one controllable output controllable output mechanism and configured to receive at least one information signal from the information mark of a subject; and

a transmitter configured to transmit at least one information signal related to the information mark to or from an electronic registry.

16. The device of claim 15, wherein the at least one information signal relates to information relating to the operation of the therapeutic delivery device.

17. The device of claim 15, wherein the at least one information signal relates to information relating to the information mark, administered to the subject.

18. The device of claim 15, wherein the information mark substance includes at least one of a magnetic, reflective, fluorescent, visible, luminescent, acoustic scattering, radioactive, conductive, or other material.

19. The device of claim 15, wherein the information mark includes information indicating the subject has received at least one medical treatment.

20. The device of claim 15, wherein the information mark includes information indicating the subject is entitled to a reward.

24. The device of claim 15, wherein the information mark includes information representing at least one attribute that is unique to the subject to whom it is administered.

25. The device of claim 15, further comprising an imaging device.

26. The device of claim 15, wherein the imaging device includes at least one camera.

27. A system, comprising:

at least one computing device including a receiver configured to receive at least one information signal from an information mark of a subject,

an information reader configured for interpreting the information mark; and

a transmitter configured to transmit at least one information signal to or from a database or other electronic registry;

wherein the information mark includes at least one parcel of information relating to a medical treatment of the subject.

28. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark reader is configured for remote receiving of at least one signal from the information mark.

29. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark reader is configured for receiving of at least one signal from the information mark as anonymous with regard to the identity of the subject.

31. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark reader is configured for interpreting the information mark.

32. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark reader includes information reader circuitry configured for interpreting at least one information signal received from the information mark.

33. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark reader is further configured to manipulate the at least one information mark.

35. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark becomes unreadable after a given time period.

36. The system of claim 27, wherein the information mark is not immediately readable, but becomes readable after a given time period.

38. The system of claim 27, wherein the electronic registry includes information regarding the subject'"'"'s compliance with self-administration of a therapeutic agent.

39. The system of claim 27, wherein the computing device further comprises a storage device.

40. The system of claim 27, wherein the computing device further comprises an input/output device.

41. The system of claim 40, wherein the input/output device is configured to allow entry of input by a user.

42. The system of claim 27, further comprising reader circuitry configured for interpreting the information signal received from the at least one information mark.

43. The system of claim 27, further comprising comparator circuitry configured for comparing at least two parcels of information, and generating an output.

44. The system of claim 27, further comprising determining if additional medical treatment of the subject is warranted.

45. The system of claim 27, further comprising determining what type of additional medical treatment of the subject is warranted.

46. The system of claim 27, further comprising a display configured for displaying medical information to a user.

50. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for collecting personal information relating to the subject that is not included in the at least one information mark.

51. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for comparing information included in the at least one information mark with the personal information collected.

52. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for selecting authorization to access or read information included in the at least one information mark of the subject.

53. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for transmitting the personal information relating to the subject to at least one electronic registry.

54. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for querying the at least one electronic registry for possible future medical treatment.

55. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for determining what future medical treatment is warranted for the subject.

56. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for reading the at least one information mark prior to, during, or subsequent to administration of additional medical treatment to the subject.

57. The system of claim 27, wherein the information reader is located in a public area.

58. The system of claim 57, wherein the public area includes at least one of an airplane, bus, airport, bus terminal, or public waiting area.

59. The system of claim 27, further comprising means for collecting at least one parcel of information related to the at least one information mark, and means for transmitting the collected parcel of information to a database.

61. A device, comprising:

a receiver configured to receive at least one information signal from an information mark of a subject,

an information reader configured to interpret the information mark; and

a transmitter configured to transmit at least one information signal to or from a database or other electronic registry;

wherein the information mark includes at least one parcel of information relating to a medical treatment of the subject.
