1. A 3-dimensional audio system, the system comprising:
- a communication module configured to receive a plurality of audio transmissions, each of the plurality of audio transmissions comprises audio data and location data and the location data being associated with a transmitter location;
an audio location module configured to determine, for each of the plurality of audio transmissions, a relative location of the audio transmission based on a location of the system and the location data; and
an audio projection module configured to 3-dimensionally project, for each of the plurality of audio transmissions, the audio data to a user based on the relative location of the audio transmission.

In some examples, a 3-dimensional audio projection method includes receiving a first set of audio transmissions, each of the audio transmissions in the first set of audio transmissions comprises audio data and location data; determining, for each of the audio transmissions in the first set of audio transmissions, a relative location of the audio transmission based on a location of a receiver and the location data; and projecting, for each of the audio transmissions in the first set of audio transmissions, the audio data to a user in a 3-dimensional format based on the relative location of the audio transmission.
