Abstract

Provided are a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having improved durability properties such as cycle and storage properties, and improved load characteristic, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution that is appropriate for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains a lithium salt and a nonaqueous solvent that dissolves the lithium salt. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution also contains a compound represented by formula (1) and a specific compound that acts in conjunction with the aforementioned compound.

Claims

1. A nonaqueous electrolyte solution that contains a lithium salt and a nonaqueous solvent that dissolves the lithium salt,

wherein the nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains a compound represented by formula (1), and further contains at least one type selected from the group consisting of:

(A) Liα

XO_nF_m (X is any element of groups 13, 15 and 16 in the second or third period of the periodic table, and α

=1 to 2, n=1 to 3, m=1 to

     2);

(B) a compound represented by formula (3); and

(C) a carbonate having at least one of a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and a fluorine atom (excluding the compound represented by formula (1)),

2. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the compound represented by formula (1) is a compound represented by formula (2):

3. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein X in the Liα

XO_nF_m is phosphorus or sulfur.

4. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 3, wherein the Liα

XO_nF_m is LiPO₂F₂ or LiSO₃F.

The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the compound represented by formula (3) is at least one type selected from among lithium bis(oxalato)borate, lithium difluorooxalatoborate, lithium tetrafluorooxalatophosphate, lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate and lithium trisoxalatophosphate.

6. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the carbonate having at least one of a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and a fluorine atom is a cyclic carbonate.

7. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the carbonate having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond is vinylene carbonate or vinylethylene carbonate.

8. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the content of the carbonate having a fluorine atom is smaller than 50 wt % in the nonaqueous solvent.

9. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1, wherein the carbonate having a fluorine atom is a fluoroethylene carbonate, 4,5-difluoroethylene carbonate, bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)carbonate or 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl methyl carbonate.

10. A nonaqueous electrolyte battery comprising:

a negative electrode and a positive electrode that are capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions; and

a nonaqueous electrolyte solution,

wherein the nonaqueous electrolyte solution is the nonaqueous electrolyte solution according to claim 1.

11. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to claim 10, wherein the negative electrode capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions is a carbonaceous material.

12. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to claim 10, wherein the negative electrode capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions is an alloy-based material.

13. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to claim 10, wherein the negative electrode capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions is a Li-containing metal complex oxide material.
