a memory for storing values representative of the operating condition; and
a processor coupled to said sensor and to said memory, said processor programmed to;
calculate a first value of the operating condition during a first period of time based on the stored values;
calculate a second value of the operating condition during a second period of time using the first value; and
determine a status of the component using the second value.
