19. A method of assembling a housing for a handheld computing device, the method comprising:
forming a metallic material into a geometrical shape having a substantially flat base and a sidewall connected to a periphery of the base, the metallic material having an inner surface and an outer surface, the metallic material having a thickness of less than about 0.3 millimeters; chemically etching a predetermined location on the inner surface of the metallic material; and overmolding a polymeric material on the chemically etched location to provide rigidity to the predetermined location. - View Dependent Claims (20)
