Abstract

According to an aspect, a device includes a touch screen display and a controller. The touch screen display displays a lock screen including an application icon associated with an application. The controller adds an information icon to the application icon when there is new information with respect to the application.

Claims

1. A device comprising:

a touch screen display for displaying a lock screen including an application icon associated with an application; and

a controller for adding an information icon to the application icon when there is new information with respect to the application.

2. The device according to claim 1, wherein

the controller is configured to display the number of pieces of the new information on the information icon.

3. The device according to claim 1, wherein

the controller is configured to display the new information on the lock screen when the application icon, on which the information icon is displayed, or the information icon is tapped.

4. The device according to claim 1, wherein

the touch screen display is configured to display a selection icon on the lock screen, and

the controller is configured to display the new information on the lock screen when a gesture in which the selection icon and the application icon, on which the information icon is displayed, or the information icon are superimposed is detected.

5. The device according to claim 4, wherein

the controller is configured to execute the application associated with the application icon when the gesture is ended in a state where the selection icon and the application icon are superimposed.

6. A method for controlling a device having a touch screen display, the method comprising:

displaying a lock screen, including an application icon associated with an application, on the touch screen display; and

adding an information icon to the application icon when there is new information with respect to the application.

7. The method according to claim 6, wherein

the displaying of the information icon comprises displaying the number of pieces of the new information on the information icon.

8. The method according to claim 6, further comprising:

displaying the new information on the lock screen when the application icon, on which the information icon is displayed, or the information icon is tapped.

9. The method according to claim 6, further comprising:

displaying a selection icon on the lock screen; and

displaying the new information on the lock screen when a gesture in which the selection icon and the application icon, on which the information icon is displayed, or the information icon are superimposed is detected.

10. The method according to claim 9, further comprising:

executing the application associated with the application icon when the gesture is ended in a state where the selection icon and the application icon are superimposed.

11. A non-transitory storage medium that stores a program for causing, when executed by a device having a touch screen display, the device to execute:

displaying a lock screen, including an application icon associated with an application, on the touch screen display; and

adding an information icon to the application icon when there is new information with respect to the application.
