Abstract

The anchoring element serves to anchor the bracket to a substrate, and the pressure element is intended to interact with the firestop collar. The pressure element can be moved relative to the anchoring element. An expansion element made of intumescent material is arranged between the anchoring element and the pressure element.

Claims

1. A bracket for a firestop collar, comprising:

an anchor for anchoring the bracket to a substrate;

a pressure element intended to interact with the firestop collar, the pressure element movable relative to the anchor; and

an expansion element made of intumescent material arranged between the anchor and the pressure element.

2. The bracket as recited in claim 1 wherein the pressure element is pivotably joined to the anchor.

3. The bracket as recited in claim 2 wherein the anchor has at least a first leg and a second leg, the first leg provided to fasten the anchoring element to the substrate, the pressure element being arranged on the second leg.

4. The bracket as recited in claim 3 wherein a pivoting axis around which the pressure element can be pivoted relative to the anchoring element is arranged in a transition area between the first leg and the second leg.

5. The bracket as recited in claim 3 wherein the first and second legs are L-shaped with respect to each other.

6. The bracket as recited in claim 2 wherein the pressure element can be pivotably joined to the anchor via a bending section.

7. The bracket as recited in claim 1 wherein the pressure element is a sheet metal tab provided with at least one hook for interacting with the firestop collar.

8. The bracket as recited in claim 1 wherein the expansion element is arranged in a pocket situated between the pressure element and the anchor.

9. The bracket as recited in claim 8 wherein the pocket is formed by the anchor and the pressure element.

10. The bracket as recited in claim 9 wherein the anchor or the pressure element is provided with side tabs extending in the direction of the pressure element or of the anchor.

11. The bracket as recited in claim 10 wherein the anchor or the pressure element is additionally provided with a head tab extending in the direction of the pressure element or of the anchor, the head tab being arranged on an edge of the anchor or of the pressure element opposite to the substrate.

12. The bracket as recited in claim 8 wherein the pocket is formed by a fabric strip.

13. The bracket as recited in claim 12 wherein the pocket is closed off at a free end of the pressure element.

14. A method for providing a firestop collar comprising:

fastening a firestop collar using the bracket as recited in claim 1.
