Abstract

Disclosed are a lighting device, a lighting system including the same, and a method of operating the same. The lighting device includes a communication unit receiving contents through communication with an outside, a content analyzing unit detecting an output state of the contents by analyzing the contents received through the communication unit, a storage unit storing information of a driving condition of a lighting unit corresponding to the output state of the contents, a controller extracting the information of the driving condition of the lighting unit corresponding to the detected output state of the contents from the storage unit and allowing the lighting unit to operate according to the contents based on the information of the driving condition of the lighting unit, and a lighting unit driver outputting a driving signal used to drive the lighting unit according to a control signal of the controller.

Claims

1. A lighting device comprising:

a communication unit receiving contents through communication with an outside;

a content analyzing unit detecting an output state of the contents by analyzing the contents received through the communication unit;

a storage unit storing information of a driving condition of a lighting unit corresponding to the output state of the contents;

a controller extracting the information of the driving condition of the lighting unit corresponding to the detected output state of the contents from the storage unit and allowing the lighting unit to operate according to the contents based on the information of the driving condition of the lighting unit; and

a lighting unit driver outputting a driving signal used to drive the lighting unit according to a control signal of the controller.

The lighting device of claim 1, wherein the output state of the contents includes an average picture level of an image included in the contents, and the driving condition of the lighting unit includes information of brightness of the lighting unit corresponding to the average picture level of the image.

3. The lighting device of claim 2, wherein the controller instantly shuts off the driving signal applied to the lighting unit if a difference between an average picture level of a previous image and an average picture level of a present image exceeds a threshold value.

The lighting device of claim 1, wherein the output state of the contents includes information of a position of an object included in an image of the contents, and the driving condition of the lighting unit includes information of a position of the lighting unit to be driven according to the information of the position of the object.

5. The lighting device of claim 4, wherein the controller determines a switching sequence of lighting units corresponding to a moving direction of the object included in the image if the object included in the image is moved.

6. The lighting device of claim 4, wherein, if the object included in the image is moved, the controller drives a lighting unit corresponding to a present position of the object, and gradually reduces brightness of a lighting unit corresponding to a previous position of the object.

7. The lighting device of claim 1, wherein the output state of the contents includes information of a level of a voice included in the contents, and the driving condition of the lighting unit includes information of brightness of the lighting unit corresponding to the information of the voice level.

8. The lighting device of claim 7, wherein the information of the level of the voice includes at least one of a frequency, a tempo, an intensity, a tone, a voice pitch, and an equalizer characteristic of the voice.

The lighting device of claim 1, wherein the output state of the contents includes information of a color of an image included in the contents, the lighting unit includes a plurality of lighting units representing colors different from each other, and the driving condition of the lighting unit includes information of a lighting unit, which represents a color corresponding to the information of the color of the image, among the lighting units.

10. The lighting device of claim 9, wherein the information of the color of the image includes information of a color in a specific region of the image or information of the color of an object included in the image.

11. The lighting device of claim 1, wherein the contents include caption information containing the information of the driving condition of the lighting unit, and the controller determines the driving condition of the lighting unit by using the caption information.

12. A lighting system comprising:

a contents receiving unit receiving contents transmitted from an outside;

a lighting device receiving the contents from the contents receiving unit, and driving at least one lighting unit according to an output condition of the contents,

wherein the lighting device adjusts at least one of a brightness of the at least one light emitting unit, a switching sequence of the at least one light emitting unit, and a color of a light emitted from the at least one light emitting unit according to the output condition of the contents.

The lighting system of claim 12, further comprising a contents analyzing unit provided in at least one of the contents receiving unit and the lighting device and detecting an output state of the contents by analyzing the contents, wherein, if the contents analyzing unit is provided in the contents receiving unit, the lighting device receives the output state of the contents analyzed through the contents analyzing unit.

14. The lighting system of claim 13, wherein the contents analyzing unit analyzes an average picture level of an image included in the contents, and the lighting device adjusts the brightness of the at least one light emitting unit according to the average picture level of the image.

The lighting system of claim 14, wherein the contents analyzing unit analyzes position information of an object included in an image of contents, and the lighting device selectively emits a light from a lighting unit, which corresponds to a position of the object among a plurality of lighting units, according to the position information of the object.

16. The lighting system of claim 15, wherein, if the object included in the image is moved, the lighting device drives a lighting unit corresponding to a present position of the object, and gradually reduces brightness of the lighting unit corresponding to a previous position of the object.

17. The lighting system of claim 14, wherein the contents analyzing unit analyzes a level of a voice included in the contents, the lighting device adjusts the brightness of the lighting unit according to information of the level of the voice, and the level of the voice includes at least one of a frequency, a tempo, an intensity, a tone, a voice pitch, and an equalizer characteristic of the voice.

18. The lighting system of claim 14, wherein the contents analyzing unit analyzes a color of an image contained in the contents, and the lighting device performs a control operation to drive a lighting unit representing a color corresponding to the information of the color of the image.

19. A method of operating a lighting unit, the method comprising:

receiving contents transmitted from an outside;

detecting an output state of the contents by analyzing the contents; and

driving at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents.

The method of claim 19, wherein the detecting of the output state of the contents by analyzing the contents includes detecting an average picture level of an image included in the contents, and the driving of the at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents includes driving the at least one lighting unit with a brightness corresponding to information of the average picture level of the image.

21. The method of claim 20, further comprising sequentially switching off the at least one lighting unit, which is driven, if a difference between an average picture level of a previous image and an average picture level of a present image exceeds a threshold value.

22. The method of claim 19, wherein the detecting of the output state of the contents by analyzing the contents includes detecting a position of an object included in the image of the contents, and the driving of the at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents includes driving a lighting unit corresponding to the position of the object among a plurality of light emitting units.

23. The method of claim 22, wherein, if the object included in the image is moved, a lighting unit corresponding to a present position of the object is driven, and brightness of the lighting unit corresponding to a previous position of the object is gradually reduced.

24. The method of claim 19, wherein the detecting of the output state of the contents by analyzing the contents includes detecting a level of a voice included in the contents, and the driving of the at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents includes driving a lighting unit with a brightness corresponding to information of the level of the voice.

25. The method of claim 24, wherein the level of the voice includes at least one of a frequency, a tempo, a n intensity, a tone, a voice pitch, and an equalizer characteristic of the voice.

26. The method of claim 19, wherein the detecting of the output state of the contents by analyzing the contents includes detecting a color of an image included in the contents, and the driving of the at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents includes driving a lighting unit having a color identical to a color of the image among a plurality of lighting units representing colors different from each other.

27. The method of claim 26, wherein the detecting of the color of the image included in the contents includes detecting a color of a specific region of the image or a color of an object included in the image.

28. The method of claim 19, wherein, in the receiving the contents transmitted from the outside, the contents include caption information corresponding to the driving condition of the at least one lighting unit, and wherein, in the driving of the at least one lighting unit according to the contents based on the detected output state of the contents, the at least one lighting unit is driven based on the caption information.
