1. A wireless power transmitter for transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiver, the wireless power transmitter comprising:
- a power supply for supplying the charging power;
a power transmitter for transmitting the charging power to the wireless power receiver;
an overcurrent protection circuit for changing an impedance of the wireless power transmitter to prevent a current value of the charging power from exceeding a predetermined threshold; and
a controller for determining whether the current value of the charging power is greater than the predetermined threshold and controlling to connect the overcurrent protection circuit to the power transmitter upon a determination that the current value of the charging power is greater than the predetermined threshold.
