1. A video processing device comprising:
- a telop detector for detecting a telop area including a telop in an input sequence of video frames;
an audio alert detector for detecting an audio alert from an input sequence of audio signals corresponding to the input sequence of video frames; and
a video processor for replacing a telop area in the video frame in which the telop area is detected with an image derived from a video frame preceding the video frame in which the telop of the telop area initially appears in the input sequence of video frames, and outputting the video frame in which the telop area has been replaced;
whereinthe video processor selectively replaces the telop area of a telop accompanied by an audio alert detected by the audio alert detector.
