Abstract

The disclosed subject matter provides for sharing timed fingerprint location information. In an aspect, timed fingerprint location information can be associated with a location of a user equipment. This timed fingerprint location information can be shared with other devices. As such, with proper analysis, these other devices can employ the shared timed fingerprint location information to determine their location. In an aspect, the other devices can determine that they are located at the same location as the user equipment. However, a level of error can be inherent in the location determined from shared timed fingerprint location information. In some embodiments, this error can be compensated for.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

a location component that receives timed fingerprint location information associated with a user equipment;

an access component that determines a level of access value based on satisfaction of a predetermined condition relating to shared access to the timed fingerprint location information; and

an information interface that facilitates communications related to distribution of the timed fingerprint location information.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the timed fingerprint location information is timed fingerprint location timing information.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the timed fingerprint location information is location information derived from timed fingerprint location timing information.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the level of access value is further based on information associated with a request to share the timed fingerprint location information.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein the information associated with the request is an identity of a user of a device associated with generating the request.

6. The system of claim 4, wherein the information associated with the request is an identity of a device associated with generating the request.

7. The system of claim 1, further comprising a timed fingerprint location information history component that receives historic timed fingerprint location information.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the access component further comprises a decision engine component that determines the satisfaction of the predetermined condition relating to shared access to the timed fingerprint location information.

9. The system of claim 8, further comprising a rule component configured to receive a rule associated with shared access to the timed fingerprint location information.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the information interface further comprises a short-range antenna component that facilitates short-range wireless communications related to distribution of the timed fingerprint location information.

11. A system comprising:

a short-range antenna component;

an information interface that facilitates communications related to shared access of timed fingerprint location information;

a memory component to store the timed fingerprint location information received in response to a request to share the timed fingerprint location information.

12. The system of claim 11, further comprising a proximity component to determine an error value associated with location information derived from the timed fingerprint location information based on a proximity of a first device associated with the request to a second device associated with providing shared access to the timed fingerprint location information.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the proximity is determined from a communications protocol employed in the shared access of the timed fingerprint location information.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein the request to share the timed fingerprint location information is generated in response to a kinesthetic input.

15. A method, comprising:

receiving timed fingerprint location information for a user equipment;

receiving a request for shared access to the timed fingerprint location information; and

allowing access to a portion of the timed fingerprint location information.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

determining a level of access to the timed fingerprint location information based on the request for access; and

determining the portion of the timed fingerprint location information based on the level of access.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the determining the level of access to the timed fingerprint location information includes identifying a user of a device associated with generating the request.

18. The method of claim 16, wherein the determining the level of access to the timed fingerprint location information includes identifying a device associated with generating the request.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein allowing access to the portion of the timed fingerprint location information is based on a privacy policy associated with the user equipment.

20. A method, comprising:

generating a request for shared access to timed fingerprint location information for a user equipment; and

receiving a portion of the timed fingerprint location information in response to the request.

21. The method of claim 20, further comprising:

determining a proximity between a first device associated with generating the request and a second device associated with the timed fingerprint location information; and

determining an error value associated with location information based on the received portion of the timed fingerprint location information based on the proximity between the first device and the second device.
