Abstract

A medical functional device, provided and designed for single use in a method for extracorporeally treating the blood of a patient, includes at least one process fluid circuit or sections thereof, each provided for receiving a process fluid, at least one first filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof and at least one second filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof. The present invention further relates to a process fluid and a medical treatment apparatus.

19. A medical functional device, provided and designed for single use in a method for extracorporeally treating the blood of a patient, comprising:

at least one process fluid circuit or sections thereof, each provided for receiving a process fluid;

at least one first filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof; and

at least one second filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof.

20. The medical functional device according to claim 19, further comprising:

at least one conveying device arranged in the process fluid circuit in order to convey the process fluid within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof.

21. The medical functional device according to claim 19, further comprising:

at least one extracorporeal blood circuit or parts thereof.

22. The medical functional device according to claim 19, which is connectable or connected for its use with at least one process fluid source, wherein the process fluid source is arranged in flow direction of the process fluid upstream the first filter device.

23. The medical functional device according to claim 19, further comprising:

at least one of at least one blocking device, one valve device and one occluding pump arranged in the process fluid circuit downstream the second filter device.

24. The medical functional device according to claim 20, wherein the at least one conveying device is a pump intended for proportional regulation, and is arranged downstream the second filter device in the process fluid circuit.

The medical functional device according to claim 21, at least one of provided and configured for being controlled upon its coupling or connecting with a medical blood treatment apparatus such that introducing process fluid at least one of into the process fluid circuit and into the extracorporeal blood circuit can be prompted by at least one of correspondingly switching at least one valve device in the process fluid circuit and by actuating at least one conveying device in the process fluid circuit.

26. The medical functional device according to claim 21, wherein the second filter device is a blood filter device of the extracorporeal blood circuit.

27. The medical functional device according to claim 21, used for at least one of rinsing and filling the extracorporeal blood circuit, at least one of for blood return in connection with an extracorporeal blood treatment and for bolus addition during an extracorporeal blood treatment.

28. The medical functional device according to claim 19, at least one of provided and configured for being controlled such that it is switchable between at least one of a rinsing and filling process and an extracorporeal blood treatment process.

29. The medical functional device according to claim 20, wherein the conveying device is provided and configured for being actuated by at least one actuator of the medical treatment apparatus.

30. The medical functional device according to claim 20, wherein the conveying device is selected from at least one of membrane pumps, peristaltic pumps and impeller pumps.

31. The medical functional device according to claim 19, designed in form of a disposable blood cassette.

32. The medical functional device according to claim 19, wherein at least one of the first filter device and the second filter device are designed at least one of in form of hollow fiber modules and having hollow fiber capillary membranes.

33. The medical functional device according to claim 19, further comprising:

at least one of a second valve device and an occluding pumping device arranged downstream the first filter device.

34. A method for operating the medical functional device according to claim 33, comprising:

completely or partly opening at least one of the second valve device and the occluding pumping device for cleaning the first filter device.

35. A process fluid, treated by using the medical functional device according to claim 19.

36. A medical treatment apparatus, provided and configured at least one of for controlling at least one medical functional device according to claim 19 and for performing the method according to claim 34.
