Abstract

A method for transmitting a reference signal includes selecting one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value, generating selection instruction information corresponding to the selected initialization value, transmitting the selection instruction information to a mobile station, generating a reference signal based on the selected initialization value, and transmitting the generated reference signal to the mobile station. A method for estimating a channel includes receiving selection instruction information indicating a selection of at least one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value, receiving a first reference signal based on the selection instruction information, generating a second reference signal based on an initialization value indicated as being selected by the selection instruction information, and estimating a channel state by comparing the first reference signal with the second reference signal.

Claims

1. A method for transmitting a reference signal by a transmission point interlocked with a mobile station to the mobile station, the method comprising:

selecting one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value;

generating selection instruction information corresponding to the selected initialization value;

transmitting the selection instruction information to the mobile station;

generating a reference signal based on the selected initialization value; and

transmitting the generated reference signal to the mobile station.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the generating of the reference signal comprises:

generating a reference signal sequence based on the selected initialization value; and

mapping the reference signal sequence to a resource element.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection instruction information is transmitted in a downlink control information (DCI) format.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting initialization value generation information to the mobile station,

wherein the initialization value generation information is transmitted using a radio resource control (RRC) signal.

The method of claim 4, wherein the initialization value generation information includes at least one of a cell identifier (ID) corresponding to the mobile station, a common cell ID, Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) information, separately defined mobile station specific information, separately defined transmission point specific information, and a parameter related to a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS).

6. The method of claim 1, wherein mobile station is aware of at least one of a cell ID corresponding to the mobile station, a common cell ID, RNTI information, and information related to a CSI-RS.

7. The method of claim 3, wherein the selection instruction information corresponds to scrambling code identity (SCID) information, the SCID information being included in the DCI.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the SCID information corresponds to 1-bit information on a scrambling identity.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the SCID information corresponds to a SCID value included in 3-bit information of an antenna port, a scrambling identity, and a number of layers.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the first initialization value corresponds to identical reference signal sequences.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the second initialization value corresponds to different reference signal sequences.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the high layer signaling through which the initialization value generation information is transmitted corresponds to a RRC signaling.

13. A method for estimating a channel by a mobile station interlocked with a transmission point, the method comprising:

receiving selection instruction information indicating a selection of at least one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value;

receiving a first reference signal based on the selection instruction information from the transmission point;

generating a second reference signal based on an initialization value indicated as being selected by the selection instruction information by using initialization value generation information; and

estimating a channel state by comparing the first reference signal with the second reference signal.

14. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

receiving the initialization value generation information from the transmission point.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein the SCID information corresponds to 1-bit information on a scrambling identity.

16. The method of claim 13, wherein the SCID information corresponds to a SCID value included in 3-bit information of an antenna port, a scrambling identity, and a number of layers.

17. An apparatus to transmit a reference signal to be interlocked with a mobile station, the apparatus comprising:

a selection instruction information generator to generate selection instruction information to indicate a selection of at least one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value;

a reference signal generator to generate a downlink reference signal according to the selection instruction information; and

a transmitter to transmit the selection instruction information and the generated reference signal to the more mobile station.

18. The apparatus of claim 17, further comprising:

an initialization value generation information processor to generate initialization value generation information to generate or change at least one of the first initialization value and the second initialization value,

wherein the transmitter transmits the generated initialization value generation information to the mobile station.

19. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein scrambling code identity (SCID) information corresponding to the selection instruction information is 1-bit information on a scrambling identity.

20. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein scrambling code identity (SCID) information corresponding to the selection instruction information is a SCID value included in 3-bit information of an antenna port, a scrambling identity, and a number of layers.

21. An apparatus interlocked with a transmission point to estimate a channel state, the apparatus comprising:

a reference signal receiver to receive a reference signal from the transmission point;

a selection instruction information receiver to receive, from the transmission point, selection instruction information to indicate a selection of at least one of a first initialization value and a second initialization value of a first reference signal;

a reference signal generator to generate a second reference signal based on the selection instruction information and initialization value generation information; and

a channel estimator to compare the first reference signal with the second reference signal, and to estimate a channel state based on the comparison.

22. The apparatus of claim 21, further comprising:

an initialization value generation information identifier to identify initialization value generation information,

wherein the initialization value generation information is either received from the transmission point or stored in a memory of the mobile station.
