Abstract

An X-Y interaction (XYI) facilitates rapid relationship pairing by creating tap or selection zones that intersect variables. The y-axis contains an indefinite number of variables (items) that can be assigned to x-axis variables (groups). “Items” are individual bits of information or data, like a transaction, song, item, or a to-do task. “Groups” are predefined buckets that apply specific rules or actions or represent specific things or people. Items get assigned to groups, and then the rules are applied to them. Items along the y-axis can be organized based on where along an x-axis a user selects an item. The selection can be by tapping, and one item can be selected for multiple groups.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a non-transitory memory storing user account information, wherein the information comprises one or more items and one or more groups associated with the one or more items; and

one or more hardware processors in communication with the non-transitory memory and configured for;

communicating electronic data to enable a user device to display a list of items and a plurality of groups on a display of the user device;

receiving a first input from a user indicating a first location of a first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the first location corresponds spatially to a first one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a first action associated with the first one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more hardware processors is further configured for:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of a second one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the second one of the list of items.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more hardware processors is further configured for:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of the first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the list of items is along a first axis of the display and the plurality of groups is along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis of the display.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the display is a touch-screen display.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more hardware processors is further configured for receiving a filter request from the user through the user device and filtering the list of items based on the filter request.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the processing is automatic.

8. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a computer program, wherein the computer program contains instructions that when executed, perform a method comprising:

communicating electronic data to enable a user device to display a list of items and a plurality of groups on a display of the user device;

receiving a first input from a user indicating a first location of a first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the first location corresponds spatially to a first one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a first action associated with the first one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

9. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the method further comprises:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of a second one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the second one of the list of items.

10. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the method further comprises:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of the first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

11. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the list of items is along a first axis of the display and the plurality of groups is along second axis perpendicular to the first axis of the display.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the display is a touch-screen display.

13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the method further comprises receiving a filter request from the user through the user device and filtering the list of items based on the filter request.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein the processing is automatic.

15. A method comprising:

communicating, by a hardware processor of a service provider, electronic data to enable a user device to display a list of items and a plurality of groups on a display of the user device;

receiving a first input from a user indicating a first location of a first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the first location corresponds spatially to a first one of the plurality of groups; and

performing, by the processor, a first action associated with the first one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of a second one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the second one of the list of items.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

receiving a second input from the user indicating a second location of the first one of the list of items selected by the user, wherein the second location corresponds spatially to a second one of the plurality of groups; and

performing a second action associated with the second one of the plurality of groups for the first one of the list of items.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein the list of items is along a first axis of the display and the plurality of groups is along second axis perpendicular to the first axis of the display.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein the display is a touch-screen display.

20. The method of claim 15, further comprising receiving a filter request from the user through the user device and filtering the first of items based on the filter request.

21. The method of claim 15, wherein the processing is automatic.
