Abstract

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for generating a reference signal sequence by user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE receives a UE-specific sequence group hopping (SGH) parameter that is specific to itself, and generates a reference signal sequence based on a base sequence in each slot unit. The base sequence is classified into sequence-group numbers determined in each of the slot units by the UE-specific SGH parameter indicating whether SGH has been carried out, and base sequence numbers.

16. A method of generating, by a user equipment (UE), a reference signal sequence in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving a cell-specific sequence group hopping (SGH) parameter from a base station, the cell-specific SGH parameter indicating whether a sequence group hopping is enabled or disabled, the sequence group hopping indicating that a sequence group number in each slot is different from each other;

receiving a UE-specific SGH parameter specified to the user equipment from the base station, the UE-specific SGH parameter indicating whether the sequence group hopping is disabled or not; and

generating the reference signal sequence based on a base sequence and the sequence group number in each slot, the sequence group number in each slot being determined by the cell-specific SGH parameter and the UE-specific SGH parameter,

wherein the UE-specific SGH parameter overrides the cell-specific SGH parameter.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the UE-specific SGH parameter is received through a higher layer.

18. The method of claim 16, wherein the cell-specific SGH parameter is received through a higher layer.

19. The method of claim 16, wherein when the UE-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is disabled, the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other in one subframe.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other in all subframes within a frame.

22. The method of claim 16, wherein when the UE-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is not disabled, whether a sequence group hopping is enabled or disabled is indicated by the cell-specific SGH parameter.

23. The method of claim 22, wherein when the cell-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is disabled, the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other.

24. The method of claim 22, wherein when the cell-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is enabled, the sequence group number in each slot are different from each other.

25. The method of claim 16, wherein the sequence group number in each slot is determined by Equation below:

where n_s denotes a slot number in a frame, f_ss denotes a sequence shift pattern configured by a cell identifier (ID) and a higher layer, and f_gh(n_s) denotes a group hopping pattern determined by Equation below;

26. A user equipment (UE) for generating a reference signal sequence in a wireless communication system, the user equipment comprising:

a radio frequency (RF) unit for transmitting or receiving a radio signal; and

a processor, operatively coupled to the RE unit, and configured for;

receiving a cell-specific sequence group hopping (SGH) parameter from a base station, the cell-specific SGH parameter indicating whether a sequence group hopping is enabled or disabled, the sequence group hopping indicating that a sequence group number in each slot is different from each other;

receiving a UE-specific SGH parameter specified to the user equipment from the base station, the UE-specific SGH parameter indicating whether the sequence group hopping is disabled or not; and

generating the reference signal sequence based on a base sequence and the sequence group number in each slot, the sequence group number in each slot being determined by the cell-specific SGH parameter and the UE-specific SGH parameter,

wherein the UE-specific SGH parameter overrides the cell-specific SGH parameter.

27. The user equipment of claim 26, wherein the UE-specific SGH parameter is received through a higher layer.

28. The user equipment of claim 26, wherein the cell-specific SGH parameter is received through a higher layer.

29. The user equipment of claim 26, wherein when the UE-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is disabled, the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other.

30. The user equipment of claim 29, wherein when the sequence group number in each slot in one subframe are identical with each other.

31. The user equipment of claim 29, wherein when the sequence group number in each slot in all subframes within a frame are identical with each other.

32. The user equipment of claim 26, wherein when the UE-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is not disabled, whether a sequence group hopping is enabled or disabled is indicated by the cell-specific SGH parameter.

33. The user equipment of claim 32, wherein when the cell-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is disabled, the sequence group number in each slot are identical with each other.

34. The user equipment of claim 32, wherein when the cell-specific SGH parameter indicates that the sequence group hopping is enabled, the sequence group number in each slot are different from each other.

35. The user equipment of claim 26, wherein the sequence group number in each slot is determined by Equation below:

where n_s denotes a slot number in a frame, f_ss denotes a sequence shift pattern configured by a cell identifier (ID) and a higher layer, and f_gh(n_s) denotes a group hopping pattern determined by Equation below;
