1. A protective case for a media device with a built-in camera lens, comprising:
- a protective element comprising a base and a sidewall extending upwardly from the base to define an enclosure adapted to receive the media device;
a housing element comprising a base and a sidewall extending upwardly from the base to define an enclosure adapted to receive the protective element, and a cover removably connected to the base;
a lens window disposed in the base;
wherein, when the media device is disposed in the protective case, the built-in camera lens is coaxially aligned with the lens window, and the protective element is sufficiently compressed against the interior of the enclosure to maintain the built-in lens in coaxial alignment with the lens window.
