Abstract

A graphical user interface displays a first portion of a data file. Further, a switch indicator is displayed. In addition, a first input that has a first proximity within a range of predetermined first proximities with respect to the switch indicator is received at a processor operably connected to the graphical user interface. In addition, a second portion of the data file based on the first input is displayed at the graphical user interface. Further, a second input that has a second proximity within a range of predetermined second proximities with respect to the switch indicator is received at the processor. The range of predetermined second proximities is distinct from the range of first predetermined proximities. In addition, the graphical user interface displays a subset of the second portion of the data file based on the second input.

Claims

1. A computer program product comprising a computer useable medium having a computer readable program, wherein the computer readable program when executed on a computer causes the computer to:

display, at a graphical user interface, a first portion of a data file;

display, at the graphical user interface, a switch indicator;

receive, at a processor operably connected to the graphical user interface, a first input that has a first proximity within a range of predetermined first proximities with respect to the switch indicator;

display, at the graphical user interface, a second portion of the data file based on the first input;

receive, at the processor, a second input that has a second proximity within a range of predetermined second proximities with respect to the switch indicator, the range of predetermined second proximities being distinct from the range of first predetermined proximities; and

display, at the graphical user interface, a subset of the second portion of the data file based on the second input.

2. The computer program product of claim 1, wherein the processor is operably connected to a touch enabled device.

3. The computer program product of claim 1, wherein the first input is a scrolling motion.

4. The computer program product of claim 1, wherein the second input is a scrolling motion.

5. The computer program product of claim 1, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to display a zoom indicator.

6. The computer program product of claim 5, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to enlarge a display of a subset of the data file in the graphical user interface based on a zoom input being within a range of predetermined first proximities with respect to the zoom indicator.

7. The computer program product of claim 5, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to miniaturize a display of a subset of the data file in the graphical user interface based on a zoom input being within a range of predetermined second proximities with respect to the zoom indicator.

8. A computer program product comprising a computer useable medium having a computer readable program, wherein the computer readable program when executed on a computer causes the computer to:

display, at a graphical user interface, an enlarged view of a page from a plurality of pages in a data file without remaining pages from the plurality of pages;

receive a first input on the page;

display, at the graphical user interface, a grid view of at least a subset of the plurality of pages in the data file that includes the page and one or more additional pages based on the first input;

receive, at a processor operably connected to the graphical user interface, a second input that indicates a selected page from the one or more additional pages; and

display, at the graphical user interface, an enlarged view of the selected page without remaining pages from the subset.

9. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to remove the grid view after the processor receives the second input.

10. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the processor is operably connected to a touch enabled device.

11. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the first input is a click of a mouse button.

12. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the second input is a release of a mouse button.

13. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the first input is a touch of a finger.

14. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the second input is a release of a finger.

15. A computer program product comprising a computer useable medium having a computer readable program, wherein the computer readable program when executed on a computer causes the computer to:

display, at a graphical user interface, a first grid view of a first plurality of pages of a data file;

display, at the graphical user interface, a switch indicator;

receive, at a processor operably connected to the graphical user interface, a first input that has a first proximity within a range of predetermined first proximities with respect to the switch indicator;

display, at the graphical user interface, a second grid view of a second plurality of pages based on the first input;

receive, at the processor, a second input that has a second proximity within a range of predetermined second proximities with respect to the switch indicator, the range of predetermined second proximities being distinct from the range of first predetermined proximities; and

display, at the graphical user interface, a selected page from the second plurality of pages based on the second input.

16. The computer program product of claim 15, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to remove the first grid view after the processor receives the first input.

17. The computer program product of claim 15, wherein the computer readable program when executed on the computer also causes the computer to remove the second grid view after the processor receives the second input.

18. The computer program product of claim 15, wherein the first plurality of pages is distinct from the second plurality of pages.

19. The computer program product of claim 15, wherein the first input is a scrolling motion.

20. The computer program product of claim 15, wherein the second input is a scrolling motion.
