Abstract

A mobile terminal for displaying a three-dimensional image and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes: a display unit configured to display a three-dimensional image including a plurality of objects; a memory unit configured to store property information of a plurality of applications respectively corresponding to the plurality of objects; and a controller configured to, upon detection of a selection of the plurality of objects, execute the plurality of applications, generate propriety information so as to determine the priority levels of the executed applications based on the property information, and arrange the executed applications on the three-dimensional image based on position information mapped to the priority information.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display unit configured to display a three-dimensional image comprising at least a plurality of objects;

a memory unit configured to store property information for a plurality of applications, wherein each of the plurality of applications corresponds to a one object of the plurality of objects; and

a controller configured to;

detect a selection of the plurality of objects,

execute the plurality of applications corresponding to the selected plurality of objects,

generate priority information to determine priority levels for the executed plurality of applications based on the property information, and

control the display unit to arrange a display of the executed plurality of applications on the three-dimensional image based on position information mapped to the generated priority information.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein a depth of each of the executed plurality of applications displayed on the three-dimensional image is set based on the generated priority information.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

terminate at least one of the executed plurality of applications based on the generated priority information when the three-dimensional image is converted into a two-dimensional image.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

terminate at least one of the executed plurality of applications based the generated priority information and execute an event while the arranged plurality of applications are displayed on the three-dimensional image.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 4, wherein the controller is further configured to:

update the priority information for the executed plurality of applications such that the executed event has a higher priority level than the executed plurality of applications.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 5, wherein the controller is further configured to:

arrange the display of the executed event on the three-dimensional image according to the updated priority information.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 4, wherein the controller is further configured to:

re-execute the terminated at least one of the plurality of applications when the executed event is terminated.

8. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

output at least some data from other executed applications when an output of data from one of the executed plurality of applications is complete.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

distribute hardware resources to the executed plurality of applications based on the priority information.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

each of the selected plurality of objects comprises a plurality of folders configured for grouping icons; and

the controller is further configured to;

detect repeating icons from the plurality of folders, and

delete at least one of the repeating icons.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the plurality of objects are selected based on a multi-touch input on the three-dimensional image; and

the multi-touch input comprises;

a first touch input corresponding to a static gesture input for indicating a point on the three-dimensional image, and

a second touch input corresponding to a dynamic gesture input for moving between regions in which the plurality of objects are displayed.

12. A control method of a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying a three-dimensional image comprising at least a plurality of objects;

detecting a selection of the plurality of objects;

executing a plurality of applications that each correspond to one of the selected plurality of objects;

generating priority information to determine priority levels of the executed plurality of applications based on property information; and

arranging a display of the executed plurality of applications on the three-dimensional image based on position information mapped to the generated priority information.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

setting a depth of each of the executed plurality of applications displayed on the three-dimensional image based on the generated priority information.

14. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

terminating at least one of the executed plurality of applications based on the generated priority information when the three-dimensional image is converted into a two-dimensional image.

15. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

terminating at least one of the executed plurality of applications based the generated priority information and executing an event while the arranged plurality of applications are displayed on the three-dimensional image.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

updating the priority information such that the executed event has a higher priority level than the executed plurality of applications; and

arranging the display of the executed event on the three-dimensional image according to the updated priority information.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

re-executing the terminated at least one of the plurality of applications when the executed event is terminated.

18. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

outputting at least some data from other executed applications when an outputting of data from one of the executed plurality of applications is complete.

19. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display unit configured to display a three-dimensional image comprising at least a plurality of objects; and

a controller configured to;

detect a selection of the plurality of objects,

execute a plurality of applications that each correspond to one of the selected plurality of objects, and

control the display unit to arrange a display of the executed plurality of applications on the three-dimensional image based on position information mapped to a selection order.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 19, wherein a depth of each of the executed plurality of applications displayed on the three-dimensional image is set based on the selection order.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 19, wherein the controller is further configured to:

terminate at least one of the executed plurality of applications based on the selection order when the three-dimensional image is converted into a two-dimensional image.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 19, wherein the controller is further configured to:

terminate at least one of the executed plurality of applications based the selection order and execute an event while the arranged plurality of applications are displayed on the three-dimensional image.
