1. A method for managing call failures on a mobile communication device, comprising:

  • determining that a call between the mobile communication device and a contact over a wireless connection has failed;

    receiving, after the call failure determination on the mobile communication device, status information from a server that indicates that at least one triggering condition that caused the call failure has been resolved or eliminated; and

    prompting, in response to the received status information, a user of the mobile communication device to re-attempt the call between the mobile communication device and the contact.
