Abstract

The present invention relates to a sock with integrated biometric monitoring.

The invention includes a biometric sensor system integrated into a sock with the ability to process and store the biometric data collected in order to provide useful information to the user, relating the user'"'"'s biometric data to performance parameters of physical effort.

The invention includes sensing integrated, on suitable supports (2), in the textile structure of the sock including temperature (1), heart beating and blood pressure (5) exerted by the foot of its user, to a processor (10, 11), signaling means (13) and interaction (14), to be interpreted and sent (12) to a mobile device (15) that stores data and allows the visualization of data.

The invention includes textile integration of biometric monitoring devices through conductive yarns (3, 4, 6, 7) knitted with own sock and their connections to sensors, terminals (8, 9) and encapsulations.

Claims

1. A sock for integrated biometric monitoring characterized by comprising:

a sock with a data bus (7) which comprises one or more conductive yarns (3) knitted integrally within the sock, in the sock knitting direction along the sock; and

one or more biometric sensors (1, 5).

2. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by further comprising a data processing device (11) and a conductive connection band (8) through which a connection is made to the data bus (7), and a wireless interface (12), in particular to a mobile device (15).

3. A sock according to claim 2 characterized by the data processing device (11) comprising one or more visual LED indicators (13), and one or more buttons (14) including an on/off switch.

4. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the biometric sensors comprising a pressure sensor (5) and a temperature sensor (1).

5. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the biometric sensors comprising connections to the data bus (7) through conductive yarns in zig-zag.

6. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the one or more of biometric sensors comprising connections to data bus (7) through conductive yarns in zig-zag.

7. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the one or more of biometric sensors comprising connections to data bus (7) through a welding on the tail of the sensor.

8. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the one or more of biometric sensors comprising porous epoxy encapsulation.

9. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the one or more of biometric sensors comprising a protective silicone adhesive.

10. A sock according to claim 1 characterized by the one or more of biometric sensors comprising a flexible PCB, printed circuit board, base.

11. A sock according to claim 2 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

12. A sock according to claim 3 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

13. A sock according to claim 4 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

14. A sock according to claim 5 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

15. A sock according to claim 6 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

16. A sock according to claim 7 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

17. A sock according to claim 8 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

18. A sock according to claim 9 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

19. A sock according to claim 10 comprising sensors and data processing means for one or more of the following measures:

body mass index, user'"'"'s weight, the amount of calories consumed in total training time, training time, calories burned per second, instant travel speed, monitoring GPS tracker, travel distance, step count, record historical data, and/or calibration and measurement of body mass in motion.

20. A sock according to claim 3 characterized by the biometric sensors comprising a pressure sensor (5) and a temperature sensor (1).
