Abstract

A composite webpage contains several webpages coupled together appearing as a separate image. Demarcation lines are used to isolate the boundaries of the edges of each individual webpage. The demarcation lines form block-like geometry. Each block contains one webpage. As the user moves the portable unit, the background composite webpage slides across the screen of the portable device. To the user, the background composite webpage appears stationary as if the screen of the portable unit is transparent. These features are advantageous to social websites, ease of portable device use, in the visitation of websites and email servers. This has several benefits since now relative distances and angular displacements within the plane between objects that are outside of the range of the screen of the handheld unit can be immediately be located and placed into view on the screen of a portable unit.

Claims

1. A portable unit comprising:

a plurality of webpages each bounded on all sides by edges;

each webpage shares at least one common edge with one abutting webpage;

said plurality of abutting webpages form a composite webpage; and

a portion or all of said composite webpage displayed on a display screen.

2. The portable unit of claim 1, wherein

said plurality of webpages is selected from the group consisting of social friends, email nomenclature, favorite websites and preferred sub-sites of a favorite website.

3. The portable unit of claim 1, further comprising:

a cursor when within said edge bounded webpage activates a connection link to a corresponding website.

4. The portable unit of claim 3, further comprising:

a memory and corresponding webpage are updated with contents from said corresponding website.

5. The portable unit of claim 4, whereby

said memory is updated when a last website update time is greater than a last memory webpage update time.

6. The portable unit of claim 4, further comprising:

an RF module to access an external database to supply said memory with data.

7. The portable unit of claim 1, further comprising:

an inertial guidance system providing a movement data that maintains said composite webpage stationary with regard to moving portable unit.

8. A portable unit comprising:

a plurality of webpages each bounded on all sides by edges;

each webpage shares at least one common edge with one abutting webpage;

said plurality of abutting webpages form a composite webpage;

a portion or all of said composite webpage displayed on a display screen, and

every webpage has the same height dimension and same width dimension.

9. The portable unit of claim 8, further comprising:

a scroll bar to scroll a contents of the webpage

10. The portable unit of claim 8, further comprising:

said webpages are layered in a three dimensional space.

11. The portable unit of claim 8, further comprising:

an inertial guidance system providing a movement data that maintains said composite webpage stationary with regard to a moving portable unit.

12. The portable unit of claim 8, wherein

said plurality of webpages is selected from the group consisting of social friends, email nomenclature, favorite websites and preferred sub-sites of a favorite website.

13. The portable unit of claim 8, further comprising:

a cursor when within said edge bounded webpage activates a connection link to a corresponding website.

14. The portable unit of claim 13, further comprising:

a memory and corresponding webpage are updated with contents from said corresponding website.

15. The portable unit of claim 14, whereby

said memory is updated when a last website update time is greater than a last memory webpage update time.

16. A method of updating a memory of a composite webpage comprising the steps of:

determining a website webpage update time of a webpage selected from said composite webpage;

determining a memory webpage update time of said webpage from said composite webpage;

comparing said website webpage update time and said memory webpage update time;

updating memory webpage with website webpage if comparison is positive; and

moving to another webpage selected from said composite webpage, thereby

updating said memory of said composite webpage.

17. The process of claim 16, whereby

said webpage and said another webpage are selected from a plurality of webpages;

and

said plurality of webpages is selected from the group consisting of social friends, email nomenclature, favorite websites and preferred sub-sites of a favorite website.

18. The process of claim 16, whereby

said memory is local to a computer.

19. The process of claim 18, whereby

said computer is a notebook computer or a portable unit.

20. The process of claim 19, whereby

said computer contains an RF module to access an external database to supply said memory with data.
