Abstract

Methods and systems for computerized valuation of electronic equipment. The computerized valuation method includes receiving an accurate identification of an asset, receiving a current value of the asset, and outputting the accurate identification of the asset and the current value of the asset to a user device. The receiving of the accurate identification of the asset includes receiving a computerized inventory of the asset.

Claims

1. A computerized valuation method, comprising:

receiving an accurate identification of an asset;

receiving a current value of the asset; and

outputting the accurate identification of the asset and the current value of the asset to a user device,

wherein the receiving of the accurate identification of the asset comprises receiving a computerized inventory of the asset.

2. The computerized valuation method of claim 1, wherein the asset includes a plurality of sub-assets, wherein the current value of the asset includes current values of each of the plurality of sub-assets, and wherein the receiving of the computerized inventory of the asset includes receiving the results of a computerized scan of the asset identifying the plurality of sub-assets.

The computerized valuation method of claim 1, wherein the asset includes a plurality of sub-assets, wherein the current value of the asset includes current values of each of the plurality of sub-assets, and wherein the receiving of the computerized inventory of the assets includes receiving information from Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

4. The computerized valuation method of claim 2, wherein the asset includes a computing device, wherein the plurality of sub-assets include computing device hardware and computing device software.

5. The computerized valuation method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving an accurate identification of a second asset in communication with the asset;

receiving a current value of the second asset; and

outputting the accurate identification of the second asset and the current value of the second asset to the user device,

wherein the receiving of the accurate identification of the second asset comprises receiving a computerized inventory of the second asset.

6. The computerized valuation method of claim 1, wherein the asset includes a telecommunications device.

7. The computerized valuation method of claim 6, wherein the receiving of the accurate identification of the asset comprises receiving an identification code.

8. The computerized valuation method of claim 1, wherein the current value of the asset is calculated based on an average of actual sale values for the asset for a predetermined period of time.

9. The computerized valuation method of claim 1, wherein the predetermined period of time consists of a previous thirty day period prior to a present time.

10. A computerized valuation system, comprising:

an asset;

an application configured to receive an accurate identification of the asset;

the application configured to receive a current value of the asset; and

a display configured to output the accurate identification of the asset and the current value of the asset to a user,

wherein the application configured to receive the accurate identification of the asset comprises a computerized inventory scanner.

11. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, wherein the asset includes a plurality of sub-assets, wherein the current value of the asset includes current values of each of the plurality of sub-assets, and wherein the computerized inventory scanner is configured to scan the plurality of sub-assets.

12. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, wherein the asset includes a plurality of sub-assets, wherein the current value of the asset includes current values of each of the plurality of sub-assets, and wherein the computerized inventory scanner comprises Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

13. The computerized valuation system of claim 11, wherein the asset includes a computing device, wherein the plurality of sub-assets include computing device hardware and computing device software.

14. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, further comprising:

a second asset,

wherein the application is further configured to receive an accurate identification of a second asset in communication with the asset,

wherein the application is further configured to receive a current value of the second asset, and

wherein the display is further configured to output the accurate identification of the second asset and the current value of the second asset to user.

15. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, wherein the asset includes a telecommunications device.

16. The computerized valuation system of claim 15, the computerized inventory scanner is configured to receive an identification code.

17. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, wherein the current value of the asset is calculated based on an average of actual sale values for the asset for a predetermined period of time.

18. The computerized valuation system of claim 10, wherein the predetermined period of time consists of a previous thirty day period prior to a present time.
