Abstract

13. A method of conducting a transaction involving a person, the method comprising:

Scanning the person to generate a first biometric signature, said scanning comprising illuminating the person with electromagnetic energy and processing a reflection of said electromagnetic energy; Encrypting said first biometric signature to produce an embedded authentication token; Requesting the transaction by the person; Scanning the person in response to said requesting a transaction to generate a second biometric signature; Encrypting said second biometric signature to produce a local authentication token; Generating a comparison result by comparing said local authentication token and said embedded authentication token; and Executing the transaction if said comparison result is a positive comparison result. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18)

19. A method of generating a biometric signature, the method comprising:

Receiving a biometric data sequence generated from a biometric sensor; and Applying the biometric data sequence to a biometric signature generator to generate the biometric signature, the biometric signature generator configured using a biometric functional dataset, the biometric functional dataset describing biological traits of one or more persons; wherein the biometric functional dataset is derived by; applying a plurality of biometric data sequences to an analysis adaptive network; exercising the analysis adaptive network with the applied plurality of biometric data sequences until the analysis adaptive network has substantially converged; and obtaining the biometric functional dataset from the substantially converged analysis adaptive network.

An analyzer for receiving a plurality of biometric data sequences and generating a corresponding biometric functional dataset, said plurality of biometric data sequences and said biometric functional dataset describing biometric traits; and A biometric signature generator for receiving a biometric data sequence corresponding to the person and for generating the biometric signature, the biometric signature generator configured using said biometric functional dataset; wherein said analyzer generates the corresponding biometric functional dataset by; applying said plurality of biometric data sequences to an analysis adaptive network; exercising the analysis adaptive network with said plurality of biometric data sequences until the analysis adaptive network has substantially converged; and generating the biometric functional dataset from the substantially converged analysis adaptive network.
