Abstract

The subject matter included in this disclosure can be embodied in a method that includes receiving information representative of a location and status of a streetlight included in a network of streetlights, and detecting, using a computing device, a fault condition of the streetlight, based on the status information. The method also includes determining, using the computing device, a corrective action to resolve the fault condition, and transmitting information related to the corrective action, including instructions for a human personnel to follow, for resolving the fault condition.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving information representative of a location and status of a streetlight included in a network of streetlights;

detecting, using a computing device, a fault condition of the streetlight, based on the status information;

determining, using the computing device, a corrective action to resolve the fault condition; and

transmitting information related to the corrective action, including instructions for a human personnel to follow, for resolving the fault condition.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the corrective action information includes a fault type related to the fault condition.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of the streetlight.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of other streetlights in a neighborhood of the streetlight.

5. The method of claim 1, comprising receiving a notification that the fault condition is resolved.

6. The method of claim 1, comprising:

identifying, based on the information representative of the location and status of the streetlight, a human personnel suitable for resolving the fault condition; and

transmitting the information related to the corrective action to a computing device of the human personnel.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes an identification of one or more components of the streetlight that need replacement.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes instructions related to procuring the one or more components.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes a list of instructions related to replacing the one or more components.

10. The method of claim 1, comprising receiving a notification that the corrective action has been at least partially performed.

11. The method of claim 1 comprising, maintaining, by a computing device, a log of the fault condition and a status of the corresponding corrective action.

12. A system comprising:

memory; and

a processor configured to;

receive information representative of a location and status of a streetlight included in a network of streetlights;

detect a fault condition of the streetlight, based on the status information;

determine a corrective action to resolve the fault condition; and

transmit information related to the corrective action, including instructions for a human personnel to follow, for resolving the fault condition.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of the streetlight.

14. The system of claim 12, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of other streetlights in a neighborhood of the streetlight.

15. The system of claim 12, wherein the processor is configured to:

identify, based on the information representative of the location and status of the streetlight, a human personnel suitable for resolving the fault condition; and

transmit the information related to the corrective action to a computing device of the human personnel.

16. The system of claim 12, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes an identification of one or more components of the streetlight that need replacement.

17. The system of claim 16, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes instructions related to procuring the one or more components.

18. The system of claim 16, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes a list of instructions related to replacing the one or more components.

19. The system of claim 12 wherein the processor is configured to maintain a log of the fault condition and a status of the corrective action.

20. A computer-readable storage device storing software comprising instructions executable by one or more computing devices which, upon execution, causes the one or more computing devices to perform operations comprising:

receiving information representative of a location and status of a streetlight included in a network of streetlights;

detecting, using a computing device, a fault condition of the streetlight, based on the status information;

determining, using the computing device, a corrective action to resolve the fault condition; and

transmitting information related to the corrective action, including instructions for a human personnel to follow, for resolving the fault condition.

21. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, wherein the corrective action information includes a fault type related to the fault condition.

22. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of the streetlight.

23. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, wherein the corrective action information includes predictive information related to remaining lifetime for one or more components of other streetlights in a neighborhood of the streetlight.

24. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, comprising instruction for receiving a notification that the fault condition is resolved.

25. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, comprising instructions for:

identifying, based on the information representative of the location and status of the streetlight, a human personnel suitable for resolving the fault condition; and

transmitting the information related to the corrective action to a computing device of the human personnel.

26. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes an identification of one or more components of the streetlight that need replacement.

27. The computer-readable storage device of claim 26, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes instructions related to procuring the one or more components.

28. The computer-readable storage device of claim 26, wherein the information related to the corrective action includes a list of instructions related to replacing the one or more components.

29. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, comprising instructions for receiving a notification that the corrective action has been at least partially performed.

30. The computer-readable storage device of claim 20, comprising instructions for maintaining a log of the fault condition and a status of the corresponding corrective action.
