Abstract

A method of controlling a mobile terminal to perform remote capture is provided. The method of controlling a mobile terminal includes: setting remote capture conditions; transmitting the remote capture conditions with a remote capture request signal to one or more remote terminals; and receiving images captured by one or more remote terminals that capture predetermined images according to the remote capture conditions from among the one or more remote terminals.

Claims

1. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

setting at least one remote capture condition;

transmitting a remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to one or more remote terminals; and

receiving at least one image captured by at least one of the one or more remote terminals, the at least one image captured according to the at least one remote capture condition.

The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one remote capture condition comprises at least information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals, user information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals, location information related to a user of at least one of the one or more remote terminals, information related to a time at which the remote capture request signal is transmitted, information related to a time at which the at least one image is received, or device information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein setting the at least one remote capture condition comprises:

displaying a menu on a display unit; and

receiving a selection of one or more remote capture conditions from the displayed menu.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving a list of at least one of the one or more remote terminals that is capable of performing remote capture according to the at least one remote capture condition;

selecting at least one remote terminal from the displayed list; and

transmitting the remote capture request signal to the selected at least one remote terminal.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

executing a specific application;

displaying a user interface on a display unit upon execution of the specific application; and

receiving an input via the user interface to request remote capture.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein:

the specific application comprises a camera application; and

the user interface comprises an interface for capturing at least one image with a camera.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the user interface further comprises:

a first region for selecting an image capture mode and a remote capture mode; and

a second region for transmitting the remote capture request signal.

8. The method of claim 6, further comprising:

transmitting a remote capture control request signal to the one or more remote terminals for remotely controlling image capture of the one or more remote terminals;

receiving a signal indicating acceptance of remote capture from a specific remote terminal of the one of more remote terminals;

displaying a preview screen on a display unit, the preview screen displayed via the specific remote terminal; and

displaying a control area on the display unit for controlling image capture of the specific remote terminal.

9. The method of claim 5, wherein the specific application comprises a social network service (SNS) application and further comprising:

executing the SNS application;

requesting remote capture during execution of the SNS application; and

automatically setting the at least one remote capture condition upon execution of the SNS application according to posted text and information related to a user who creates the posted text.

10. The method of claim 5, wherein the specific application comprises a map application and further comprising:

displaying a map on the display unit;

receiving an input to select a specific point on the displayed map;

acquiring location information corresponding to the selected specific point; and

setting the acquired location information as location information of a user of one of the one or more remote terminals.

11. A method of controlling a server, the method comprising:

receiving a remote capture request signal that includes at least one remote capture condition from a mobile terminal;

determining one or more remote terminals that are capable of capturing images according to the at least one remote capture condition;

transmitting the remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to the determined one or more remote terminals;

receiving at least one image captured by at least one of the determined one or more remote terminals, the at least one image captured according to the at least one remote capture condition; and

transmitting the received at least one image to the mobile terminal.

12. A mobile terminal comprising:

a communication unit configured to at least transmit or receive information;

a display unit configured to display information; and

a controller configured to;

set at least one remote capture condition;

control the communication unit to transmit a remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to one or more remote terminals; and

control the communication unit to receive at least one image captured by at least one of the one or more remote terminals, the at least one image captured according to the at least one remote capture condition.

The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein the at least one remote capture condition comprises at least information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals, user information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals, location information related to a user of at least one of the one or more remote terminals, information related to a time at which the remote capture request signal is transmitted, information related to a time at which the at least one image is received, or device information related to at least one of the one or more remote terminals.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein setting the at least one remote capture condition comprises:

controlling the display unit to display a menu and receiving a selection of one or more remote capture conditions from the displayed menu;

or

automatically setting the at least one remote capture condition according to an executed application.

15. The mobile terminal of claim 14, wherein:

the executed application comprises a camera application; and

the controller is further configured to control the display unit to display a user interface for capturing at least one image with a camera.

16. The mobile terminal of claim 14, wherein:

the executed application comprises a social network service (SNS) application; and

the controller is further configured to;

request remote capture during execution of the SNS application; and

automatically set the at least one remote capture condition according to posted text and information related to a user who creates the posted text.

17. The mobile terminal of claim 14, wherein:

the executed application comprises a map application; and

the controller is further configured to;

control the display unit to display a map;

receive an input to select a specific point on the displayed map;

acquire location information corresponding to the selected specific point; and

set the acquired location information as location information of a user of one of the one or more remote terminals.

18. A server comprising:

a communication unit configured to at least transmit or receive information; and

a controller configured to;

control the communication unit to receive a remote capture request signal that includes at least one remote capture condition from a mobile terminal;

determine one or more remote terminals that are capable of capturing images according to the at least one remote capture condition;

control the communication unit to transmit the remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to the determined one or more remote terminals;

control the communication unit to receive an image captured by at least one of the determined one or more remote terminals; and

control the communication unit to transmit the received image to the mobile terminal.

19. A mobile terminal comprising:

a memory configured to store at least one program;

at least one processor configured to execute the stored at least one program in order to;

set at least one remote capture condition;

transmit a remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to one or more remote terminals; and

receive at least one image captured by at least one of the one or more remote terminals, the at least one image captured according to the at least one remote capture condition.

20. A server comprising:

a memory configured to store at least one program;

at least one processor configured to execute the stored at least one program in order to;

determine one or more remote terminals that are capable of capturing images according to at least one remote capture condition;

transmit a remote capture request signal that includes the at least one remote capture condition to the determined one or more remote terminals;

receive at least one image captured by at least one of the determined one or more remote terminals, the at least one image captured according to the at least one remote capture condition.
