1. An implantable medical device system comprising:
- an implantable medical device configured to acquire EEG signals from a patient and to store a representation of the EEG signals in a memory;
an external component provided with a software operating program and associated hardware and configured to process, store, playback and display on a display of the external component the representation of the EEG signals stored in the memory of the implantable medical device; and
a communication link configured to establish communication between a communications subsystem of the implantable medical device and the external component to enable the external component to process, store, playback and display on the display of the external component the representation of the EEG signals acquired and stored in the implantable medical device.

Abstract
An implantable neurostimulator system adapted to provide therapy for various neurological disorders is capable of varying therapy delivery strategies based on the context, physiological or otherwise, into which the therapy is to be delivered. Responsive and scheduled therapies can be varied depending on various sensor measurements, calculations, inferences, and device states (including elapsed times and times of day) to deliver an appropriate course of therapy under the circumstances.

11. A method of communicating information between an implantable neurostimulator and at least one external component configured to process, store, playback and display on a display of the external component a representation of EEG signals acquired and stored in the implantable neurostimulator, comprising:
-
acquiring signal activity from the patient'"'"'s brain from at least one sensor, the at least one sensor in operable communication with the implantable neurostimulator; processing the signal activity with the implantable neurostimulator to provide a digital representation of the signal activity; storing the digital representation of the signal activity in an area of memory in a memory subsystem of the implantable neurostimulator; establishing a communication link between the implantable neurostimulator and the external component and communicating through the communication link the digital representation of the signal activity from the area of memory to the external component; and with a software operating program and associated hardware of the external component, processing and displaying on a display of the external component the representation of the signal activity.
