Abstract

Disclosed are an automatic media editing apparatus, an editing method, a media broadcasting method and a broadcasting system thereof. The media editing apparatus edits or labels the media clips in accordance with specified features according to the analysis of the received multimedia. A new multimedia clip can be created after reproducing the media clips. The sources of the multimedia may be the contents which are side-recorded by a plurality of area servers located at multiple areas. Followed on, the edited multimedia as required can be broadcasted to clients. The automatic media editing technology may be applied to a media broadcasting system across multiple areas. The system may include a main server and a plurality of area servers. The area server may integrate and clip the content in accordance with the specified features.

Claims

1. An automatic media editing apparatus comprising:

a feature database, recording one or more feature values;

a content-obtaining module, obtaining one or more multimedia clips;

a content-categorizing module, obtaining the multimedia clips and inputting the feature values into the feature database, and categorizing the obtained multimedia clips after feature comparison;

a memory device module, acting as a temporary storage of the received or categorized one or more multimedia clips;

an input module, receiving a request from a client end;

a content-reproducing module, obtaining one or more corresponding multimedia clips based on the request, and creating a new multimedia clip after reproduction; and

a content-broadcasting module, correspondingly broadcasting the new multimedia clip to the client end who sends the request.

2. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein feature values recorded by the feature database includes graphic feature, sound feature and text feature.

3. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the feature value includes date and time information.

4. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips.

5. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change.

6. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips.

7. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips;

the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change;

the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips; and

the request-corresponding feature refers to either the graphic feature, the sound feature, the text feature or the combination thereof.

8. The automatic media editing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the sources of the multimedia clips includes images, videos, sound data, content of television channels, internet streams and video cameras.

9. An automatic media editing method which comprises:

obtaining one or more multimedia clips;

inputting one or more feature values;

processing a media feature analysis to analyze the features of the obtained multimedia clips;

according to a request, finding out the one or more multimedia clips in accordance with the features recorded on the request;

temporarily storing the multimedia clips in accordance with the request into a memory device; and

creating a new multimedia clip from the one or more multimedia clips based on the request.

10. The automatic media editing method according to claim 9, wherein the feature value refers to graphic feature, sound feature, text feature or the combination thereof.

11. The automatic media editing method according to claim 10, wherein the feature value includes a time information.

12. The automatic media editing method according to claim 10, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips.

13. The automatic media editing method according to claim 10, wherein the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change.

14. The automatic media editing method according to claim 10, wherein the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips.

15. The automatic media editing method according to claim 10, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips;

the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change;

the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips; and

the request-corresponding feature refers to either the graphic feature, the sound feature, the text feature or the combination thereof.

16. The automatic media editing method according to claim 9, wherein the source of the multimedia clips includes images, videos, sound data, content of television channels, internet streams and video cameras.

17. The automatic media editing method according to claim 9, wherein the request is a client demand received through a network.

The automatic media editing method according to claim 9, wherein the one/many multimedia clip which is/are in accordance with the recorded feature of the request is/are being found out after comparison, and the one/many multimedia clip which meet the requirements is/are obtained through editing, then combined to reproduce into the new multimedia clip.

The automatic media editing method according to claim 9, wherein the one/many multimedia clip which is/are in accordance with the recorded feature of the request is/are being found out after comparison, and the one/many multimedia clip which meet the requirements is/are labeled, then combine the labeled multimedia clips to create the new multimedia clip.

20. A media broadcasting system which comprises:

a main server which provides user management function, user login interface, program list, popular key-words collecting function, and accepts the request of a client end;

a plurality of area servers linked to the main server through the network, wherein the multimedia contents are obtained by the different area servers, and are labeled and categorized according to their features, and the different area servers exchange the labeled and categorized records;

wherein the main server obtains the labeled and categorized records from the plurality of area servers, then finds out the area server with the corresponding multimedia content based on the request of the client end after comparison, and the client end is then linked to the corresponding area server.

21. The media broadcasting system according to claim 20, wherein the area server is linked to the television station and the local network.

22. The media broadcasting system according to claim 20, wherein the plurality of area servers are linked to each other through the network and are backups for each other.

23. The media broadcasting system according to claim 20, wherein the area server includes an automatic media editing apparatus which comprises:

a feature database, recording one or more feature values;

a content-obtaining module, receiving the multimedia contents;

a content-categorizing module, obtaining multimedia clips and inputting the feature values into the feature database, and categorizing the obtained multimedia contents after feature comparison;

a memory device module, temporarily storing the multimedia contents;

a content-reproducing module, obtaining one or more corresponding multimedia clips based on the request, and creating a new multimedia clip after reproduction; and

a content-broadcasting module, broadcasting the new corresponding, requested multimedia content to the client end.

24. The media broadcasting system according to claim 23, wherein the feature database records feature value including graphic feature, sound feature and text feature.

25. The media broadcasting system according to claim 24, wherein the feature value includes time information.

26. The media broadcasting system according to claim 24, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips.

27. The media broadcasting system according to claim 24, wherein the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change.

28. The media broadcasting system according to claim 24, wherein the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips.

29. The media broadcasting system according to claim 24, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips;

the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change;

the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips; and

the request-corresponding feature refers to either the graphic feature, the sound feature, the text feature or the combination thereof.

30. A media broadcasting method which comprises:

establishing a link between a main server and a plurality of servers located in multiple areas;

the different area servers obtaining the local multimedia contents;

the different area servers categorizing and labeling the obtained multimedia contents according to the configured feature;

the different area servers exchanging the categorized and labeled records;

the different area servers sending the categorized and labeled records to the main server;

the main server receiving the request made by the client end;

the main server checking on the different area servers respectively;

the main server obtaining the clips or labels of the multimedia content in accordance with the request;

the main server reproducing new multimedia content; and

broadcasting the multimedia content to the client end.

31. The media broadcasting method according to claim 30, wherein the different area servers are linked to the television station and the local network, the plurality of area servers are linked to each other through the network and are backups for each other.

32. The media broadcasting method according to claim 30, wherein the features includes graphic feature, sound feature and text feature.

33. The media broadcasting method according to claim 32, wherein the feature value includes time information.

34. The media broadcasting method according to claim 32, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips.

35. The media broadcasting method according to claim 32, wherein the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change.

36. The media broadcasting method according to claim 32, wherein the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips.

37. The media broadcasting method according to claim 32, wherein the graphic feature refers to the distribution of the graphic colors of different frames in the multimedia clips;

the sound feature refers to sound wave, amplitude and frequency-change;

the text feature refers to subtitles of the multimedia clips; and

the request-corresponding feature refers to either the graphic feature, the sound feature, the text feature or the combination thereof.

38. The media broadcasting method according to claim 30, wherein the area servers obtain the local multimedia contents through side-recording the television channel contents and acquiring the network packet switching of the local network.

39. The media broadcasting method according to claim 30 which further comprises:

the main server based on the categorized and labeled records received producing a program list;

sending the program list to one or more client ends; and

the one or more client ends generating the request according to the program list.
