Abstract

A switching method for an electronic device having sensing regions is mentioned. The switching method is configured to detect signals received by the electronic device, so as to switch the states of the electronic device. The switching method comprises receiving a first signal at a first moment and receiving a second signal at a second moment, wherein the first signal is generated by touching a first sensing region and the second signal is generated by touching a second sensing region; measuring a triggering duration and determining whether the triggering duration is consistent with a predetermined duration, when the first signal and the second signal are inputted simultaneously; switching the electronic device from a first state to a second state, if the triggering duration is consistent with the predetermined duration; and maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the triggering duration is not consistent with the predetermined duration.

Claims

1. A switching method for an electronic device having a plurality of sensing regions, the switching method being configured to detect signals received by the electronic device and switch the states of the electronic device, the switching method comprising:

receiving a first signal at a first moment and receiving a second signal at a second moment, the first signal being generated by touching a first sensing region and the second signal being generated by touching a second sensing region;

measuring a triggering duration and determining whether the triggering duration being consistent with a predetermined duration, when the first signal and the second signal being inputted simultaneously;

switching the electronic device from a first state to a second state, when the triggering duration is consistent with the predetermined duration; and

maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the triggering duration is not consistent with the predetermined duration.

2. The switching method according to claim 1, wherein the step of determining if the triggering duration being consistent with the predetermined duration, comprises:

remeasuring the triggering duration, when the inputting of the first signal or the second signal is interrupted.

3. The switching method according to claim 1, further comprising after the second signal is received, displaying an indication by a display unit of the electronic device for displaying the second signal received.

4. The switching method according to claim 1, wherein the first state is a locked state or a sleep state, and the second state is an unlocked state.

5. A switching method for an electronic device having a plurality of sensing regions, the switching method being configured to switch the states of the electronic device and comprising:

(a) generating a first signal by touching a first sensing region, when the electronic device is in a first state;

(b) receiving a second signal generated from a second sensing region, during a period in which the first signal is received;

(c) determining whether a touching manner and a moving path of the second signal are consistent with a predetermined gesture;

(d) switching the electronic device from the first state to a second state, if the second signal is consistent with the predetermined gesture; and

(e) maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the second signal is not consistent with the predetermined gesture.

6. The switching method according to claim 5, further comprising:

displaying an indication for the predetermined gesture on a display unit of the electronic device, wherein the indication is a movie, a graphic or a animation.

7. The switching method according to claim 5, further comprising:

re-executing the steps (a) to (c), when the electronic device being in the first state and the second signal being not consistent with the predetermined gesture.

8. A switching method for an electronic device, the switching method being configured to switch states of the electronic device and comprising:

generating a first signal by touching a sensing region, when the electronic device is in a first state;

determining if a triggering duration exceeds or equals to a predetermined duration;

switching the electronic device from a first state to a second state, if the triggering duration exceeds or equals the predetermined duration; and

maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the triggering duration is shorter than the predetermined duration.

9. The switching method according to claim 8, wherein the step of generating the first signal comprises:

touching the sensing region by at least one finger, for generating the first signal.

10. A switching method adapted for an electronic device, the switching method being configured to switch states of the electronic device and comprising:

generating a first signal by touching a sensing region, when the electronic device is in a first state;

determining if a touching manner and a moving path of the first signal is consistent with a predetermined gesture;

switching the electronic device from a first state to a second state, if the first signal is consistent with the predetermined gesture; and

maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the first signal is not consistent with the predetermined gesture.

11. The switching method according to claim 10, the step of generating the first signal comprising:

touching the sensing region by at least one finger, for generating the first signal.

12. The switching method according to claim 10, further comprising:

displaying an indication for the predetermined gesture by a display unit of the electronic device, wherein the indication is a movie, a graphic or an animation.

13. A switching method adapted for an electronic device having a plurality of sensing regions, the switching method being configured to switch states of the electronic device and comprising:

receiving a first signal at a first moment and receiving a second signal at a second moment, the first signal being generated by touching a first sensing region and the second signal being generated by touching a second sensing region; and

if a triggering duration is consistent with a predetermined duration, triggering a detecting unit for generating a state-switching signal which is configured to switching the electronic device from the first state to the second state, wherein the first and second signals are received simultaneously in the triggering duration.

14. The switching method according to claim 13, wherein the detecting unit is a button, an optical sensor or an accelerator.

15. The switching method according to claim 14, further comprising:

showing a pressing duration of pressing the bottom in a display unit of the electronic device; and

measuring the pressing duration.

16. The switching method according to claim 14, if the triggering duration is consistent with a predetermined duration, the switching method further comprising:

determining whether to generate the state-switching signal, according to changes of brightness received by the optical sensor.

17. The switching method according to claim 14, if the triggering duration is consistent with a predetermined duration, the switching method further comprising:

determining whether to generate the state-switching signal by the accelerator, according to an acceleration value received by the accelerator.

18. An electronic device, comprising:

a first sensing region configured to generate a first signal when the first sensing region is touched;

a second sensing region configured to generate a second signal when the second sensing region is touched; and

at least one processing unit electrically connected to the first sensing region and the second sensing region, the processing unit being configured to determine whether to switch the electronic device from a first state to a second state according to a first signal and a second signal;

when the processing unit is in the first state, the processing unit being configured to receive the first signal generated from the first region and the second signal generated from the second region and being configured to determine if the touching manner and the path of the second signal are consistent with a predetermined motion, if the second signal is consistent with the predetermined gesture, the electronic device being switched from the first state to the second state.

19. The electronic device according to claim 18, further comprising a display unit configured to display the predetermined motion, wherein the indication is a movie, a graphic or an animation.

20. The electronic device according to claim 18, wherein when the electronic device is in the first state and the second signal is not consistent with the predetermined motion, the electronic device is configured to detect the second signal in the first state.
