Abstract

Systems and methods for social sharing and online publishing of advertisement messages concerning products or services. In one embodiment, an advertising message associated with a radio frequency identification based transmission may be published online by a user of a wireless ordering device. The users sharing of such messages may serve as an endorsement of the brand, product or service. A system, such as a commerce data organization system and/or vendor system, may then reward or credit the message sharer (e.g., consumer affiliate) based on variables the vendor or advertiser chooses, such as social influence, audience reach and performance based metrics. In some cases, the technology involves a method for consumers to engage with RFID based advertising to gain rewards. The rewards may be in the form of affiliate points that consumers may gain each time they share a message.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

configuring an RFID transmitter to transmit to a wireless ordering device an RFID transmission pertaining to a human-perceptible advertisement for a service or product offered by a vendor, the advertisement associated with at least one RFID transmitter and associated with a wireless transmission identification signal representing information pertaining to the service or product offered by the vendor, the wireless transmission identification signal being transmitted from the RFID transmitter associated with the advertisement;

tracking a response to the RFID transmission concerning the human-perceptible advertisement that shares an electronic message concerning the human-perceptible advertisement;

calculating a message sharing reward value based on the shared electronic message concerning the human-perceptible advertisement; and

crediting the message sharing reward value to a user account of a user of the wireless ordering device.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising crediting a reward to the user account in response to another user commencing a consumer transaction based on the sharing of the shared electronic message.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the shared electronic message is at least in part input by a user and concerns the advertisement.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the shared electronic message is automatically created based on information associated with the RFID.

5. The system of claim 4 wherein the sharing is performed automatically.

6. A system comprising:

a plurality of RFID transmitters configured to transmit to wireless ordering devices an RFID transmission pertaining to a human-perceptible advertisement for a service or product offered by a vendor, the advertisement associated with at least one RFID transmitter and associated with a wireless transmission identification signal representing information pertaining to the service or product offered by the vendor, the wireless transmission identification signal being transmitted from the RFID transmitter associated with the advertisement;

a commerce data organization system configured to track a response of the wireless ordering device to the RFID transmission concerning the human-perceptible advertisement that shares an electronic message concerning the human-perceptible advertisement;

the commerce data organization system further configured to calculate a message sharing reward value based on the shared electronic message concerning the human-perceptible advertisement and crediting the message sharing reward value to a user account of a user of the wireless ordering device.

7. The system of claim 6 wherein the commerce data organization system is configured to credit a reward to the user account in response to another user commencing a consumer transaction based on the shared electronic message.

8. The system of claim 6 wherein the shared electronic message is at least in part input by a user and concerns the advertisement.

9. The system of claim 6 wherein the shared electronic message is automatically created based on information associated with the RFID.

10. The system of claim 9 wherein the sharing is performed automatically.

11. A method comprising:

Receiving an RFID transmission for a consumer transaction using a wireless ordering device;

providing a response concerning the consumer transaction to the wireless ordering device;

sharing an electronic message with subject matter of the consumer transaction with a social media server;

calculating a reward value based on the consumer transaction; and

crediting the reward value to a user account associated with a user of the wireless ordering device.

12. The method of claim 11 wherein the reward value is based on the shared electronic message.

13. The method of claim 11 wherein the reward value is based on a price of a completed purchase.

14. The method of claim 11 further comprising crediting a reward to the user account based on another user commencing a second consumer transaction associated with the sharing.

15. The method of claim 11 wherein the shared electronic message is at least in part input by the user and concerns the consumer transaction.

16. The method of claim 11 wherein the consumer transaction comprises a purchase.

17. The method of claim 11 wherein the consumer transaction comprises an information request concerning an advertisement associated with an RFID transmitter.

18. The method of claim 11 wherein the shared electronic message is automatically created based on information associated with the RFID.

19. The method of claim 18 wherein sharing the electronic message concerning the consumer transaction is performed automatically.

20. A system comprising:

an RFID transmitter configured to communicate an RFID signal with a wireless ordering device for a consumer transaction;

a commerce data organization system configured to provide a response concerning the consumer transaction to the wireless ordering device;

the commerce data organization system configured to track a shared electronic message with subject matter of the consumer transaction sent to a social media server;

the commerce data organization server further configured to calculate a reward value based on the consumer transaction and credit the reward value to a user account associated with the user of the wireless ordering device.

21. The method of claim 20 wherein the reward value is based on the shared electronic message.

22. The method of claim 20 wherein the reward value is based on a price of a completed purchase.

23. The system of claim 20 wherein the commerce data organization system is configured to credit the reward to the user account based on another user commencing a second consumer transaction associated with the shared message.

24. The system of claim 20 wherein the shared electronic message is at least in part input by the user and concerns the consumer transaction.

25. The system of claim 20 wherein the consumer transaction comprises a purchase.

26. The system of claim 20 wherein the consumer transaction comprises an information request concerning an advertisement associated with an RFID transmitter.

27. The system of claim 20 wherein the shared electronic message is automatically created based on information associated with the RFID.

28. The system of claim 27 wherein the sharing is performed automatically.
