Abstract

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing electronic distribution of filtered calendars. The disclosed systems and methods may include receiving control data. The control data may be configured to indicate a portion of master calendar data a user designates to transmit. Furthermore, the disclosed systems and methods may include filtering the master calendar data based on the control data to create filtered calendar data and transmitting the filtered calendar data.

21. A computer implemented method for providing electronic distribution of secure calendar data, the method comprising:

receiving, at a first computing device, a request to transmit calendar data to a second computing device;

filtering a calendar associated with a user of the first computing device based on control data associated, in part, with a user at the second computing device; and

transmitting the filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein a first format is a more robust format than a second format.

22. The computer implemented method of claim 21, wherein the first format is iCalendar.

23. The computer implemented method of claim 21, wherein the second format is HTML.

24. The computer implemented method of claim 21, wherein the filtered calendar data is transmitted as an email attachment.

25. The computer implemented of claim 21, further comprising:

transmitting a second filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein the second filtered calendar data is an update to the first filtered calendar data.

27. The computer implemented method of claim 22, wherein the iCalendar enables opening the filtered calendar data in full calendar form.

28. One or more computer storage media having computer-executable components that upon execution perform a method for providing electronic distribution of secure calendar data, the method comprising:

receiving, at a first computing device, a request to transmit calendar data to a second computing device;

filtering a calendar associated with a user of the first computing device based on control data associated, in part, with a user at the second computing device; and

transmitting the filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein a first format is a more robust format than a second format.

29. The one or more computer storage media of claim 28, wherein the first format is iCalendar.

30. The one or more computer storage media of claim 28, wherein the second format is HTML.

31. The one or more computer storage media of claim 28, wherein the filtered calendar data is transmitted as an email attachment.

32. The one or more computer storage media of claim 28, further comprising:

transmitting a second filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein the second filtered calendar data is an update to the first filtered calendar data.

33. The one or more computer storage media of claim 32, wherein the update to the first filtered calendar data replaces a first payload of the first filtered calendar data with a second payload of the second filtered calendar data.

34. The one or more computer storage media of claim 29, wherein the iCalendar enables opening the filtered calendar data in full calendar form.

35. A computer system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, the memory having computer-executable instructions that when executed by the processor, provide a method for providing electronic distribution of secure calendar data, the method comprising;

receiving, at a first computing device, a request to transmit calendar data to a second computing device;

filtering a calendar associated with a user of the first computing device based on control data associated, in part, with a user at the second computing device; and

transmitting the filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein a first format is a more robust format than a second format.

36. The computer system of claim 35, wherein the first format is iCalendar.

37. The computer system of claim 35, wherein the second format is HTML.

38. The computer system of claim 35, wherein the filtered calendar data is transmitted as an email attachment.

39. The computer system of claim 35, further comprising:

transmitting a second filtered calendar data to the second computing device in two formats, wherein the second filtered calendar data is an update to the first filtered calendar data.

40. The computer system of claim 35, wherein the update to the first filtered calendar data replaces a first payload of the first filtered calendar data with a second payload of the second filtered calendar data.
